Holidaymakers looking to get away to a hot climate in a peaceful but beautiful part of Italy will find Buti is a wonderful destination. This is a very scenic part of northwest Italy that lies within the province of Pisa in the wine producing region of Tuscany. Here visitors will find numerous different places to stay including self catering accommodation, villas, apartments and cottages.
Buti is a wonderful town to enjoy long walks as well as horse riding and has many lovely views of the countryside and mountains. There are also plenty of routes in and around the town for cyclists and mountain bikers to take an energetic ride. Holidaymakers can also take a drive to the coast approximately 30 kilometres away, where there are some great beaches and resorts for sunbathing and watersports.There are several excellent golf courses in Tuscany including the 18-hole courses at Versilia Golf Club near Pietrasanta and Cosmopolitan golf near Pisa. Tuscany is a famous wine producing region and visitors may like to go on a wine tasting tour in Chianti.Buti has a bar and a restaurant and self catering holidaymakers will be able to purchase food and drink from a small food store in the area. Visitors wishing to find bigger designer stores and restaurants will need to venture further out to bigger cities such as Florence, Pisa and Siena.
There are a number of interesting places to visit here including historic building and churches such as Tonini Castle and the Church of St. Francis. Nearby is Lucca another city well worth visiting with its magnificent cathedral, tiny Romanesque churches, cobbled narrow streets, towers and lovely mediaeval buildings.The region boasts a number of museums and art galleries, many of which are located in and around Florence, which is about 77 kilometres from Buti. Pisa is about 27 kilometres away via the Strada Grande Comunicazione Firenze-Pisa-Livorno and is a fantastic city to visit, featuring the world famous Leaning Tower.

The warmest time of the year to visit Buti is generally July and August when the average high temperature is approximately 30 degrees centigrade, while June and September hit a respectable 27 degrees centigrade as well. The average rainfall for one year is below 90mm with October often the wettest month.
The nearest airport to Buti is Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa, which is approximately 40 minutes away. It offers flights to and from domestic and major European destinations such as Paris, London, Madrid, Munich and Amsterdam. Ryanair has the largest number of flights and destinations.Car hire firms such as Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore/National, Sixt and Thrifty are all represented at the airport, with desks in the Arrivals area. Europcar and Sixt also offer chauffeur-driven cars.
