For a spot of self-indulgence you can make the short journey into Cala d’Or, home to a string of high-class restaurants and stylish bars. Cala Ferrera apartments are a great base for exploring the surrounding area, and good public transport links mean that you not necessarily need a car if you are visiting the bigger destinations. These include the capital of the island, Palma (63km), home to around half the island’s population and a great deal of its attractions. Closer to home, the market at Porto Colom (11km) is also well worth a visit.
