Weather in the Cape Verde Islands

Cold ocean currents keep the Cape Verde Islands wonderfully mild throughout the year, meaning that you can travel to Cape Verde on holiday all year round. The very moderate temperatures of the Cape Verde Islands means that summer conditions are much like those of southern Europe, with daily temperatures from May until November hovering around the 30˚C mark. In the evenings, temperatures can dip to a little below 20˚C, but not much further.

Although there are eight separate airports on the Cape Verde Islands, only the Rabil International Airport (BVC) and the Amilcar Cabral International Airport (SID) receive direct flights from the UK.
