Make a holiday home, apartment, cottage or villa in Capri, Italy your home away from home

The small yet beautiful island of Capri is situated just 3 miles (5km) off the western coast of mainland Italy, on the southern edge of the Gulf of Naples in Campania. One of the world’s oldest tourist resorts, Capri has been popular since Roman times and continues to attract holidaymakers to this day with its mix of scenery, weather and history. Whether the villas in Capri you’re planning to visit are modern holiday homes or Roman villas, you’ll find that Capri makes an ideal holiday destination that suits all tastes!

Things to do on holiday in Capri, Italy

Capri may be small, with an area of just 6.5 square miles (10.4 sq km), but don’t let this fool you into thinking there’s not much to see or do here! Capri is actually an island full of surprises and is a hugely popular destination. Because of its size, holiday accommodation is always in high demand so villas in Capri, and indeed all other forms of accommodation, should be booked as early as possible.

Enjoying the beaches and harbours of Capri is a favourite pastime, but you should also not miss some of the island’s other highlights. These include the intriguing Blue Grotto, a famous sea cave which can be visited by boat. Also in the water are the large scenic limestone Sea Stacks. The main settlement on the island is the City of Capri, though Anacapri is also an important community too. The chairlift from here up to the island’s highest point, Mount Solaro is popular for the scenic views from the top. A number of impressive Roman villas can be seen around the island including the Villa San Michele and Villa Jovis.

Places to visit on holiday in Capri, Italy

Not far from Naples is the amazing site of Pompeii, the ancient city which was buried when Mount Vesuvius erupted.
