The feast of Saint John the Baptist falls on the 24th June, marked by a day of carnival style parades and open-air events.

No visit to a Catral property would be complete without an exploration of the El Hondo Nature Reserve. The town of Almoradi is the closest town to Catral, and offers some of the finest restaurants, shops and markets in the region. Anyone wishing to try their hand at cooking local cuisine or enjoy traditional festivals during the summer should certainly take the time to visit Almoradi.

However, it is the beaches of Guardemar (Guardemar del Segura) that will really excite visitors to Catral accommodation. Located just 10km away, Guardemar Beach is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Alicante, covered in fine, white sand. Many, many hours can be spent happily stretched out in the sun, absorbing the relaxed atmosphere with the sun on your face and the sounds of the sea filling your ears. Water sports are readily available from Guardemar too, making it the ideal beach resort to visit from a Catral villa.
