The most celebrated attraction within the town is the Musee d'art Moderne Ceret, which is filled to breaking point with magnificent works by Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Dali among others. The Cherry Festival is held either at the end of May or the beginning of June, depending on when the harvest ripens, and is a magnificent time to take a rental property in Ceret.
