The old city of Concarneau, Ville Close, is a very compact, highly fortified island just offshore from the modern city. Concarneau’s weather is wonderfully mild throughout the year. In summer, you can sail, swim or simply sightsee with a mouth watering Breton ice cream in temperatures usually reaching upwards of the 30˚C mark. Winters remain mild, with daily temperatures averaging around 5˚C in January.
