The narrow twisted streets hide a variety of charming cafes and local, family owned restaurants where you can find authentic local cuisine, prepared with perfection, and all washed down with a choice of the famous wines of Var. If you are staying in a self catering Cotignac villa, be sure to stock up on the excellent olive oil, herbs, honey and excellent, inexpensive local wines for your kitchen. The main square, Cours Gambetta is the best place to find these from your Cotignac villa.

The Gorges de Verdon at the far end of the lake are particular favourites with climbers too.

The famous seaside resort of St Tropez and the beaches of the Cote d’Azur are only an hour’s drive from a self catering Cotignac villa too.

There is very little to choose from between Marseille (MRS) and Nice (NCE) airport when it comes to travelling to a holiday rental villa in Cotignac, but due to the slightly better services and better approach to the town, Marseille International Airport is probably the better of the two.
