Make a holiday rental home or villa in Dolo, Italy your home away from home

Within the province of Venice there are a number of attractive smaller villages and towns, of which Dolo is a great specimen. Dolo is an ancient town that now also has modern influences, and has long been a popular destination with locals seeking a spot of luxury. As well as being just 29km from the beautiful city of Venice, Dolo is also just 24km from Padova, meaning holidaymakers can visit two of Veneto’s most famous cities during the same vacation, as well as enjoy the delights of the Riviera del Brenta.

Things to do in Dolo, Italy

Dolo sits on the banks of the Riviera del Brenta, a particularly green area between Padova and Venice. This close proximity to both cities means that those who choose to base themselves in Dolo villas and apartments are almost spoilt for choice with regards to what to do during their stay.

The Riviera del Brenta is an attractive stretch of water known for the Venetian villas that line its banks. Dolo lies at the centre of the River and is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, making it a great place for enjoyable walks and scenic bicycle rides that will both revitalise and refresh. When it comes to evening entertainment, Dolo has a selection of good-quality restaurants, with Risotrante Mare Divino a favourite of locals and tourists alike.

Dolo is well connected with its big city neighbours, with its own train station on the Venice – Padova line. This makes getting between these popular destinations easy, and you do not necessarily require the use of a car during your stay. These cities need no introduction, and are talked about in greater detail elsewhere on this website, but suffice to say, each has enough attractions to fill more than a week’s vacation on their own.
