Kafr El Gouna - This is the local name for El Gouna, the heart of the town. The kafr, or downtown area, is built in traditional Egyptian style. Shopping is cheap at the arcades and bazaars, but expect to barter for the best price. After dark, discos and bars offer plenty of lively entertainment.
