There are two separate ski areas available from an Engelberg Titlis chalet, meaning that skiers and snowboarders of all levels can have an excellent skiing holiday. There are over 82km of pistes, served by 27 lifts available from the domain, with the Brunni domain ideal for intermediate skiers whilst the far side of the valley, below Mount Titlis, is a challenge for even experienced snow sports enthusiasts. Alpine skiers will be astonished by the number of black and red runs that run down from the Titlis Glacier, including a single, 12km run which drops over 2,000 metres along its course. The off-piste potential is excellent too, especially in the famous Laub routes. Local guides are readily available, many of which speak excellent English.

During the winter months, visitors to Engelberg/Titlis accommodation can enjoy a whole range of activities including tobogganing, snow shoe hiking, dog sleigh rides and paragliding as well as ice skating and curling in the resort. The excellent spa facilities of Engelberg are an absolute delight in the evening, soaking away any aches from tired limbs after a hard day of exhilarating sport.

The Titlis Glacier is a fantastic asset for year round skiing, and is served by an amazing revolving cable car, which offers absolutely magnificent views in 360˚. Summers in Engelberg / Titlis, Switzerland, are filled with entertainment too, as the whole region becomes awash with the colour and smell of blossoming meadows, which provide a startling contrast to the barren, snow capped peaks on the horizon. The walking, hiking and mountain biking opportunities are endless, and there are some intensely testing climbing routes to conquer. The Engelberg Monastery is a tourist attraction in itself, but when you combine it with the magnificent scenery, year round skiing and wealth of sporting activities make Engelberg a top destination in Switzerland.

Cheap flights to Engelberg / Titlis, Switzerland

Zurich Airport (ZRH) is just an hour and a half from a chalet in Engelberg Titlis. Although you can reach the resort in just a couple of hours by using the excellent train network, taking a hire car would be an easier option.
