Fanabe is a great beach resort for young families. Fanabe Beach is huge and sandy, and fantastically served by a promenade filled with restaurants and water sports centres. The beach is stunning, backed by a steeply sided mountain range, and if you manage to venture to the top of the ridge, the views you shall be rewarded with make the effort well worth making. However, serious walkers will want to head to Mount Teide, Tenerife’s highest point for a real challenge. The inland area around Fanabe also acts as wonderful terrain for quad-biking, horse riding and mountain biking.

If you can manage to drag yourself away from the beach, the town centre has a wealth of attractions to unveil. The centre is a maze of narrow streets, filled with restaurants, pavement cafes and little shops, creating a contagious buzz around the town.
