Holetown is not a large settlement by any means. It does have shops, restaurants and bars, but it is not a vibrant town, but a relaxed easy-going village with magnificent natural surroundings. The Folkestone Marine Park is a great place to see some of the more unique animals living on the island, and snorkelling trails and glass bottomed boat expeditions can be arranged from the visitor centre.

Venturing off the sublime white powder beach, the waters of Holetown are magnificent for scuba diving. Visibility is very long, and there are some beautiful and bizarre fish and sea life swimming off the Barbados shores. Water skiing is also very popular here, and there are facilities and boats available from the beach. The great year-round weather also lends itself to other outdoor activities, such as taking tennis lessons or hiking in the countryside.
