Just returned after 10 days in July with our two daughers from 6 and 8 years old. Beautiful weather, great hosts and a fabulous view. It was our first time at italy. Robert and Margareth did everthing to make our holiday a great holiday. The fruit and vegetable are great, the house was very clean, there granddaughter was very sweet. Fabulous place in summer, nice swimming pool in the village, and good location for trips to modena and reggio emilia. And dont forget the hot tube, very relaxing. Our girls (and we) had a very good time. Greetings to Lexie.

We spent a week with Robert and Margaret in June 2009 and had a fantastic time! They are a really lovely couple who would do anything to help, first night provisions (it was a public holiday), tourist information etc etc. We were a little nervous as it was our first trip away with a baby (6 months old at the time) but the apartment was spacious to accomodate a couple, a small baby and our friend from Australia. Everything was very clean and the double bed was enormous (room for a little baby when she didn't want to sleep in her cot!). The village of Villa Minozza is a short walk away (up a big hill!) and has everything you could need, if you're feeling a bit lazy this is where a car is an absolute essential.
YOU MUST go to the restaurant down the hill from the apartment, say where you're staying and they'll give you a discount for one of the best meals you could ever have!
The only thing to bear in mind is that whilst it is close to lots of bigger cities, the roads are tight so it will take you a longer time than you think to get to places (be careful on the roads!), but as you're on holiday, it shouldn't matter?!
Thanks for a great holiday!

Just returned after a great week in February. Beautiful weather, fabulous location and Robert and Margaret were great hosts. It was the first time that had stayed here and they had everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the apartments are very clean and very warm through the winter nights. Fabulous ski-ing in nearby Febbio. We are returning in July for another 2 weeks when we will look forward to using the new hot tub!!!!! Simon, Dawn & Charlotte - Greater Manchester, England.

The property is everything you think an Italian Alpine lodge should be, in a charming, idyllic setting among the Appenine mountains in a peaceful quiet spot.
Robert and Margaret are great hosts, they really made it a special Christmas for us and helped us discover a part of Italy we didn't know existed, it really was a winter wonderland.
It is an ideal location for exploring the countryside,
indulging yourself in the fabulous local food and wine and after a day touring or skiing, the accommodation is welcoming, superbly appointed and great to unwind in the evenings.
We can certainly recommend Chestnut Lodge to anyone who intends to visit the area

We went to Robert and Margarets for New Year week, It was our 2 year old daughters first holiday abroad, rob and margaret were great, they provided our daughter with a night light, bibs, little chair, and foot stool so she could brush her teeth, this was fantastic, felt like home from home.
We wanted to go up to Fabbio to try skiing, Rob took us up to the resort and helped us hire our ski's as we donot speak italian, we also got a sledge for daughter, we had a great time.
On New years Eve we invited to Rob and Margarets party, Margaret is a great cook, so we had a lovely meal. Rob let off some fireworks at midnight, we had a very enjoyable evening.
I would recommend Rob and Margarets Holiday Rental, the rooms are lovely, can't wait to go back in the summer!
Rob and margaret are the Perfect Host.

We had a great time in Vila Minozzo.
The appartment was well maintained, and well equiped.
The owners gave us a lot of recommendations about things to do, or to see and where to eat.
If you like to walk in the mountains, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, to visit italian cities and above all to experience the italian way of living than this is the place to be.
