This was a great holiday for our famiy and we thuroughly ejoyed our stay at ca na maria.
We had a weeks holiday, as a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 girls thinking they are teenegers already!)
Without having to hire a car we found it easy enough with a local spar shop less then a ten minute walk away to supply our needs. The resteraunts were close at hand and met our requitements. The beach felt like it was on the doorstep and was brilliant to spend time on during our stay, the sea was crystal clear!
In the house there was everything we needed, very well kept and to a perfect standard. It was also nice to be able to watch english TV too!
we highly reccomend this villa as a family holiday residence.

Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Tourists without a Car

Family holiday

Our family of nine included two juniors and two teenagers and two grandparents and we were all comfortably accommodated.
The added attraction of being right on the beach was a bonus for everyone.
As we went in half-term week at the end of October not all of the local amenities were open but the weather was great.

We found that a suitable sized vehicle was essential although we only visited the city twice. Bicycles are also available for a resaonable daily rate.

It also helps that the villa is owned by an English lady!

Recommended for: Families with Teenagers, Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great location for beach lovers

We have just returned from a seven night stay at Ca Na Maria. There were 11 of us in all, 9 adults and 2 children. We were very impressed with the location, you literally cross the road outside the villa and you are on the beach. Across the road from the villa is a car park which can be very busy on a hot day when the beach starts to fill up but in the evening the area is very quiet and peaceful.

The villa was generally comfortable, clean and well equipped. The air conditioning was very useful. We had two young children with us and very much appreciated the safety gate at the top of the stairs (since the living accommodation is upstairs).

The beds in the garden room were very soft so we chose not to use that room. Our bed (the King size) was very comfortable. The rest of the beds also appeared to be good.

Overall I would return to this villa, but probably with a maximum of ten occupants. If you visit the area, I would recommend eating at the Restauran C'an Bennassar in Santanyi's town square. It's right next to the town hall. A great location, friendly staff and the food was reasonable and superb.

Owners Response: As can be seen in the photograph of the garden bedroom, the beds are a classic style, with very deep mattresses. I do appreciate that many people nowadays tend to prefer a firm base to sleep on and am now looking into rectifying this, as the comfort of our guests at Ca na Maria is of paramount importance to us. Our aim is to provide a family home away from home.
Up to now we have had several parties of guests numbering 12 in the villa, the only problem that arose so far, was one family did not find the second set of cutlery, so thought we were not providing enough!
We are constantly trying to improve and appreciate all responses from our guests, which we try our utmost to act upon. Caroline

Specious villa in a great location

Villa Ca na Maria is an excellent choice for holiday. Numbers of bedrooms and bathrooms, leaving room and a large balcony overlooking the beach provide a great accommodation for a large group of friends or few families. All rooms are well equipped in all the necessities and the house is being regularly cleaned.
One of the great aspects of this villa is its location as it is just a few meters away from a lovely sandy beach. You can also take advantage of a swimming pool and other amenities of nearby hotels.
If you are not on a beach or having a siesta in your apartment you can always enjoy a walk around Cala Santanyi and if do, don’t forget to go and admire Es Pontas.
The house is equipped with all the kitchen necessities which mean you can cater for yourself but if you are fed up with cooking yourself you can always take a walk to a nearby restaurant for a meal.
If you want to see the vicinity of Cala Santanyi then the nearby town Santanyi, especially its market, is definitely worth a visit.

Great property in an unbeatable location

We spent 2 weeks at Villa Ca na Maria in Cala Santnyi in July 07. Although there were 4 adults and 4 children in our party the villa is more than large enough to cope and would comfortably have handled another 4 in my opinion.

I cannot stress enough the spectacular location of the villa which is quite literally a stones throw from the beach and lovely bay , which the balcony looks directly on to. The large ceiling fans in the main living room cool the warm evening air although now i understand air conditioning is to be fitted to keep you extra cool !

The villa was clean , very well equipped and is a very short walk from several restaurants and bars.

Ramona and Marta , who help maintain the property , were helpful and knowledgeable on all things local and were able to recommend where the best markets , restaurants etc .

In my opinion this villa is ideal for large families or families traveling together and i can absolutely guarantee you cannot get a better situated property in Cala Santanyi. The best recommendation i can give is that I would definitely stay there again

V relaxing stay!

Came as a group of 8 girls for a long weekend and couldn't have been more ideal. Wonderful location right opposite a v pretty beach, no need to use the car as great restaurants & cafes nearby. House has lovely outdoor terrace upstairs and very comfortable bedrooms.

Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car

Mrs Pugsley ' We had a wonderful holiday and the villa was excellent, the village is lovely and after a visit to the centre of Cala D'Or we all agreed we were glad we had stayed in a more authentic part of Majorca.
We have recommended you on to a few friends who will be contacting you shortly hopefully and I know my parents are interested as well.'
We had a great time last week.Rented cars, but didn't use them. Stayed at the villa & Cala Santanyi all week.
Had great fun snorkling. Even managed a barbeque one night. Suited our needs ideally - many thanks Mike Procter
