18 of us visited Javea for the 1st time but not the last! Our stay at this villa was for an extra special reason ,whilst we were there, we got married so we wanted something a little bit special and this villa was all that and more .
On arrival we were personally greeted at the airport and transferred to the villa by mini bus and upon arrival shown around the villa, we had already been sent local information and useful telephone numbers and also information on the Fiestas and from the minute we arrived at the villa we were greeted with the words "Welcome to Palm View" which was lovely. As the entrance gate was opened so were most of our mouths! we were speechless because it was even better than we hoped for.As we were shown around it got better and better ,the decoration is modern and beautiful ,there was nothing that had not been thought of !!! Everything and more than you would have in your own home. Wi Fi, internet, Retro games table, table tennis, pool table, table football, so know one could ever be bored and of course the swimming pool which was large and we spent every breakfast around the pool under the cabana with the kitchen. This villa has everything and even better you could walk everywhere. The beach was only 7 min's walk and then the rocky beach was another few min's, the beach bars were great an our favourite was Mosquito. We also went to the Irish pub Ann shebeen and was welcomed with Free cocktails which Sharon and Adrian (The owners) had arranged as a welcome gift! We have never before had owners that were so kind and even offering to take us shopping to the supermarket and the market in the old town.We loved our experience and are already looking to go back there next year.
If anyone who is trying to decide what villa to choose stop looking and go for this one ,Its amazing .

This villa was all we expected and more! The layout of three separate villas on one location suited my family. We all lived with eachother in the day and the evening congregating around the pool and BBQ area and slept in the privacy of very private rooms all with an individual bathroom/shower room. We were 11 adults and 8 children including 3 babies!! The property was very clean and tidy with all the fascilities one could need. The games room created several intense competitions and the cinema was used to watch the tennis. We had three cars to travel the area although the rock pools and swimming area and a great beech bar called Mosquito was only a walk of about 500mtrs away. The sandy beech about 1mile. We loved it so much we are looking at properties in that area. Highly recomended. Sharon has asked for what we disliked..well nothing, Honestly we all loved it. Thank you Sharon, from Paul and Family.

Owners Response: Mosquito Chiringito bar is a great favourite with it's white nights, fire eaters and live music. I am glad that you all had a great time.Next year we will have a "private secret garden" at the back of the villa especially designed for Weddings. Will post a photo in the winter when work starts.

We could not have asked for a better place. Loads of room for 5 families of 4, with a fair amount of privacy too. Cooking faciliteis were great, I especially liked the fridge and freezer in the pool area. Everything worked as its supposed to, our weather was fantastic so we didn't really use the indoor facilities such as the media room, x box etc but it was good that it was there. Good location, beach and restaurants easy access. Brill!!!

We had a lovely holiday. The weather was perfect, we did not see a cloud for the week we were there. We were greeted by Adrian, who showed us around, with clear details, and a huge amount of keys, that we would need, as there were 5 different families all at one time. Adrian was keen to let us know about the area, and how to be safe in the villa. He recycled our empties, and was always aorund to help us if we required. We really liked the area, beaches restaurants were all easily found, in and within walking distance.
The villa was lovely, we couldn't have wished for more. We were a party of 10 adults and 10 children, and we all found it a lovely place to be. Plenty of equipment, loads of plates cups etc, many of them plastic for picnics and bbq's etc. The pool was cleaned twice whilst we were there, and the grounds were well maintained. Sharon and Adrian were lovely hosts, who were there to help when we needed, but were also very patient with our late eating habits and wine tasting!
We had a great week, and would definately recommend it to other familes/ groups. Thank you.

The first impression of Palm View was a positive experience for all concerned (usually in a group there are a couple if dissenting voices) this was enhanced by the warm welcome of the proprietor who gave a thorough guided tour of the property, and only increased the anticipation of all concerned for the week to come.
There were sixteen in our party, a mixture of ages, singles, couples, all found the accommodation spacious, tastefully decorated, and with ample facilities which more than adequately fulfilled the requirements of all members of the group.
The villa is well located, the town, sea front and shopping, all being in easy reach.
We had a great week, enjoying our evenings around the well maintained pool area, and also in the huge lounging area in the main body of the accomodation.
We're comming back this year, what better endorsement is there than that ?

The location of the villa is fantastic, very close to the town, but without any of the associated noise. The outdoor area was great for socialising, as the noise did not carry, and it was easy to clean up after ourselves.
The villa has heaps of bathrooms, kitchens and living area's, which meant there were plenty of facilities for everyone, even though we were with such a large group.
The audio room looked fantastic, but we were out and about too much to use it.
We will definitely be back.

18 family members had a brilliant holiday at Palm View. We were met at the villa with complimentary drinks, and a small tour of the property, within half hour the children were in the pool followed by the adults, we had lots of bbq's, the food was not at all expensive from the local supermarket which is a 5 min walk if that,The villa is situated about 5;10 minutes away from almost everything which is a nice stroll. The beach is beautiful and there are some lovely restaurants on the front. Our hosts Sharon and Adrian were very helpful, telling us the best places to go. We all enjoyed it very much and would return in the future. The only downside to the villa was no air conditioning ,apart from that Fantastic. Thankyou for our holiday.Carole and family.

Owners Response: We are now offer a" welcome cocktail party" for all our guests hosted at the An Shebeen Irish Bar on the following day of arrival. Also if you eat there after 10 meals ordered there you get one free. As far as the AC goes I wish we could get the electricity to power all the rooms to have it (although the rental price would go up considerably, so I suppose it is (swings and roundabout's) and we are only allowed a certain amount of power to each house and we cannot get enough for AC for 9 bedrooms as we are not a commercial property. Also the electric company here is now charging a fine for using too much electricity! The good thing is that you can open the windows as they all have mosquito netting on and of course all rooms have fans.

I think we were lucky as we had lovely weather although Sharon told us the week before we arrived was very rainy. When we arrived at Alicante airport The coach driver was waiting for us and delivered us to the villa in good time.Adrian (the owner) was there to greet us and took us round the villa explaining everything to us, we were given a printed sheet with all information of the Fiestas and phone numbers of Doctors etc. I thought this was very impressive. (although to be honest the kids just wanted to get there swimming costumes on and into the pool)There was 15 of us including children, and we had a brilliant holiday. the villa is so lovely and spacious and so close to everywhere. We didn't have a car so Adrian took us to do our shopping for all the wine and beer! the beach at Javea is beautiful and my daughter who is only 2 loved it there. The cinema room was a bonus as the guys wanted to watch their footie! and there was plenty of DVD's for us all to watch. Javea has a lot of lovely restaurants and bars and our favourite was the Irish bar where they have live music and good food! The cots and high chairs were new and all in all the villa was very clean. We looked at there next door for next year for just our family of 6 as we would love to come back. Thank you Sharon and Adrian for being such lovely hosts and keep up the good work! Hope to see you again next year Gilli

Owners Response: Thank you Gilli for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your holiday and would like to thank you for looking after the villa so well and leaving it so tidy. As you know we are a green villa and we are happy to take your bottles away to the bottle bank but it was nice that you offered to help Adrian. We endeavour to give as much help to our guests that require it and are also happy to be a ghost and leave everyone to do there own thing if they prefer. I know from past guests that the coach transfers are a bonus but I do recommend that you hire one car to simplify shopping, however Adrian is always happy to take our guests to local areas and the beach should they have young children that don't like walking too much. The villa will have it's yearly improvements so if we see you next year there will be even more entertainments available, even live bands or Karaoke should anyone require it. next year we are hoping to have a 50 inch screen flat screen TV in the home cinema room. I would like to say that we appreciate you taking time to let us know what you thought about the villa and your holiday and we hope to see you again. Thank you

Disappointing Villa |

We did not think much of this villa and would not recommend it to our friends. It is located close to a four lane road and was therefore quite noisy, e.g. loud motorbikes revving at night. The beach was not within easy walking distance, being on the side of the highway. We had to drive to go anywhere (apart from the supermarket). There was no information provided with the villa except for a few flyers about tourist attractions and maps - nothing from the owners about the area or about the villa itself. There were various faults e.g. light bulb blown, shower hose not working which when drawn to the owners' attention were resolved albeit not very courteously. In terms of the entertainment provided with the villa, there was only one cue for the pool table; the bulb on projector in the "home cinema" was broken and we didn't find the table football. The bedrooms upstairs were dated and not clean (dust, rubbish e.g. a sweet wrapper under a bed). The beds were uncomfortable. Most of the crockery and all the tumblers and wine glasses were made of plastic and the kitchens were missing basic things like tea towels.
It wasn't all bad though! We liked: the table tennis table (although one of the bulbs was broken); the pool and the outdoor area including the barbeque; the decor downstairs; the view from the garden of the mountain; the provision of cots and high chairs; that the owners were gracious about us having extra guests to stay.
|
|
Owners Response: Unfortunately the weather was terrible this week and most of these guests were in a bad mood. We like to offer our guests a guided tour of the villa and ask then to check with us that everything is up to standard. This was declined by the initial young man that arrived first and we were told that they knew Javea and did not need to have any information.Any faults that appeared through the week were dealt with immediately as always.Beds are always a difficult subject as some clients like them to be hard and some like them to be soft. These were brand new in April and were firm.We have spare pool cues which are kept in the caretakers cabin and if they had let us know that one was missing we could have given them another. To be honest we knew that the life in the bulb for the home cinema projection screen was tired, and usually at this time of the year the weather is lovely and not many people want to sit in and watch the TV. Now we have a brand new 50 inch wall mounted flat screen TV. As far as the polycarbonate glasses are concerned this is for the safety of the children which this young group of people probably did not take into consideration. As we live close by we are always approachable, and if any help is required we are more than happy to help. We always advise a car even if just for shopping, however it is only 1km to the beach on a flat road and crossing over the dual carriage way at the traffic lights (600 meters away) but not very nice to walk in the rain at any time. the Villa has just had it's yearly paint inside and out and also New furniture in the upstairs Lounge. We look forward to all our guests and like to speak to them for at least half an hour about the villa as it is so big it takes time to find everything if you have not been shown.

We were a family group of 16, from 81yrs to 11yrs. The mid-August heat was a challenge for some of the adults - it meant we had to be lazy! The teenagers had a ball. The pool area couldn't have been better; the depth of the pool was perfect for lots of games, table tennis and pool table much used, and still plenty of space for adults to flop with books. The kids had plenty of space to gather indoors in the shade too. They were also able to walk to Arenal independently for meals, shops etc. Much use of the barbecue, and Naya. Inside, the villa is as described - spacious and very comfortable. The option of privacy in the separate apartments, or using the communal space, really is a bonus with such a mixture of ages. Some of the rooms have traffic noise at night. Lovely food at the Tennis Club restaurant, and a v. friendly reception at An Shebean, together with English football on TV for some of us! The walk to the port area was hot but worthwhile. Some of us did the boat trip to Denia and loved it for the views, cooling breeze, and a good lunch on the harbour at Denia. The indoor food market in the old town is well worth a visit - more so than the weekly market. The evening stalls at Arenal looked more interesting. Most of the tourists in Javea are Spanish, which gives the place a nice 'feel'. Sharon and Adrian really are impressive hosts. Most of us opted not to hire cars, and Adrian both sorted out travel to theme parks, and also did us several favours, which were much appreciated. They did their best to help with a lost mobile phone too. Highly recommended.

A very nice and well-equipped house in an area well suited for the traditional beachholiday. Nice, serious and helpfull owners.
As the house does not have aircondition I would primarely recommend it from late August till late June, especially if you are travelling with children. The pool is nice, a bit deep though, and the pool area is equipped with two refridgiators, which is very convenient. We did not manage to get the barbeque working properly, due to insufficient air supply. I would recommend creating a draft by drilling holes in the rear of the barbeque.
The villa is situated a short drive from the beach. It is possible to walk the distance, it takes about 15-20 minutes, but we preferred to take the car. The beach was very nice and clean, parking easy to find, and the restaurants were quite good as well. There were not a lot of activities at the beach, so if you are into kiting or windsurfing you would have to take a longer drive. Note that the beach in Oliva (appr. 40 minutes drive) does not allow kiting in the summer.
If you feel like architecture, old churches etc are important elements in a holiday you probably should pick another destination than Javea, but if your main goals are relaxation and filling you batteries, I would recommend Palm View.

Owners Response: Thank you so much for taking time to review our villa and Javea.
What a shame you didn't let us know that you couldn't light the BBQ, we have not had any other guests have any trouble and we would have been happy to help you, maybe you needed some fire lighters.if you had gone to the rocky beach in the port ( 5 min's drive away) you would have found the wind surfing club and scuba diving. As far as kite flying I always see them from the Arenal in the air but I don't know if you allowed to fly them in the height of the season as I should think it would not be very safe for other bathers.
The Old town has a beautiful old church in the cobbled stoned area, where most of the old building's and museum are. I hope you can visit Javea again and maybe you will find them next time.

17 of us from Ireland stayed in Palm View last week, and we had such a wonderful time there, all of us, that we would love to return there sometime in the future. There was an incredible amount of space both inside the Villa, and at the pool area - nobody felt jammed together, or on top of each other - and we made good use of both the large dining table up on the terrace outside the 1st floor apartment, and the area near the barbeque - poolside. It was very handy to have 2 fridges down at the pool are for keeping drinks cold and nibbles safe from flies. When not eating "at home", our favourite eating place was called "An Shebean", down the town - the food was delicious, and with 17 people (8 adults and 9 children of varying ages) - it was a tall order to find something for everyone to enjoy - but they did, and the staff could'nt have been nicer or made us feel more welcome. !
Some of our Party took off twice during the week, for Theme Parks nearby - well ,up towards Benidorm - and came back, exhausted but happy, and straight into the Pool they went !
Finally, the owners, Sharon and Adrian were the nicest hosts you could hope for, pleasant and with a welcome smile on their faces when we arrived.
Thank You both.!
The happy memories we 17 have of this beautiful Villa holiday will last a very long time, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a large Family villa to rent.

We stayed at Palm View for a week and it was superb. 17 of us went, aged from 2 to 49 and everyone of us loved it. The villa was spacious, the pool area was great, the pool table and table tennis table were brilliant and the cinema room excellent. The covered seating area by the pool was a great place for a quick escape from the heat and also ideal for our barbecues which were done using the huge barbecue area by the pool. The villa was big and looked great with very clean bedrooms and was well furnished. The owners were very helpful and provided transport for our party to the waterpark in Benidorm. If we had any questions they were available at any time as well as providing us with info about local interests and entertainment. Overall our holiday was brilliant and we're all very keen to re book next year. If you are reading this review with an idea to book this villa then do it, because you won't be disappointed.

This is a fantastic spacious villa everything you may want is provided, fantastic pool, BBQ and outside kitchen area. 16 of us had a great time 15 mins walk to the beach for bars and restaurants or 20 mins to the port area for more peaceful bars and restaurants. The owners where away when we visited but their representative could not have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here, may well visit myself again in the future - not something I normally do!
