October half term can be wet and windy so the warm comfort of Red Cliff House was very welcome.

The House was very well equipped in the kitchen with good quality appliances and utensils. The bedrooms were all very well decorated and comfortable, I'd say luxurious!

After walking the dog on the beach 4 minutes drive away (Inny Strand), a great selection of books, cooked breakfasts and an open fire meant we rarely got away before mid day. But when we did there is plenty to explore. You might need a magnifying glass to find the much talked about rock art but stague fort was good especially as we had a grandstand view of the hare coursing also.

Our only dissapointment was the amount of places that were shut for the winter, several well mentioned pubs and tourist attractions. The fish restaurant at Waterville was an expensive dissapointment (the best meal of the stay was in Limerick at The Bailey Pub, but that's a long way to go for lunch even at 6.50 Euros!!).

Very comfortable and well maintained, great location in Autumn if you want to relax with windy beaches and real fires.
