Had a wonderful day in Innsbruck - the park and ride when you find it is great value for money. And found an excellent Thai resturant Rathaus Cralerien. Wonderful cake shop in Rattenberg and lovely pizza's in Reith and Alpbach. Snow was wonderful and look forward to returning in the future for some skiing.

Having read all the previous comments, we are delighted to be joining the ever increasing 'Claire and Haus Hislop' fan club.
After arriving last Saturady, we quickly came to the conclusion that we must plan a return trip, having been so impressed with Claire and what was on offer.
We have had a wonderful week enjoying such beautiful surrondings and lovely accommodation. There have been many highlights and the 'icing on the cake' arrived last night in the form of SNOW! Today we enjoyed sledging using 'dustbin lids' kindly supplied by Claire which gave us such good fun.
The other, unexpected bonus, was meeting Claire who is charming, zany and enigmatic and made us feel so very welcome.
You made a great impression on us and of course your beautiful house and we truely hope we can return in March 2010. Will send our photos when we get back to Spain.
Keep in touch, Love Chris and Jane

Just realised that we forgot to write a review! We stayed over half term Feb 08. Had a really lovely holiday. Claire exceptionally helpful and friendly. Even went shopping for us prior to arriving. Apartment clean and well equipped. We travelled as a family of 4. Kids first time skiing and it was ideal. Ski school excellent and fun. Local restaurant (up the hill) very welcoming and great food. Would highly recommend. For all those driving allow more time than you think traffic up to salzburg horrendous.
Thanks Claire for a lovely holiday.

Our party consisted of 8 adults, four children (aged 8,7,6 and 2) and an infant. We took three of Claire's apartments for our stay for a week in March/April 2008. The apartments themselves are clean, tidy, well furnished and have excellent facilities for all ages. Claire is most helpful, and will assist you in any queries you have. It is well located, for the local restaurants (the Zimalm mixed grill is something to behold, it arrives in a wheel-barrow!!, i kid you not, and the hotel down the road has excellent choice, both reasoinably priced and accomodating for the kids). The main gondola is a short walk away (maybe 400 yards) and a T-bar is approx. 100 yards away. Haus Hislop is situated on an incline, but please don't let that put you off, as it is ideally located for all amenities. The local ski school is excellent, and very reasonably priced (we booked beforehand via the internet). Peter, the instructor who looked after our begineers and children spoke perfect english, was exceptionally patient and very friendly. The ski area itself, although not massive (an intermediate skiier could cover the area in two days max.) is really good and has a variety of runs for the beginner and average skiier (to be fair, there are not many challenging runs for the advanced skiier). The on-slope restaurants provide good food at reasonable prices, try out Joe's spicy pizza at the main gondola station, it's not for the faint hearted!! Overall, for a family break and to learn to ski, Haus Hislop and Inneralpbach is the perfect destination for you. I would not hesitate to recommend Claire's friendly chalet to anyone. Furthermore, we have already booked to return next winter for the beginners to hone their skills in a superb environment!

Had an amazingly fantastic time at HausHislop. Went there over Easter and had a fabulous, refreshing break.
Claire is a very accomodating host, the best I have ever been with. Goes beyond her limits to serve her guests and entertains them completely. You would never have any complains about the apartments or the service. The flats are immaculate with very good views of the slopes.
The Tirol area in itself is an amazing beauty. To wake up in the morning and have a view of the breathtaking scenery is an amazing experience on its own. I would recommend everyone to have this experience atleast once in a life time. But I can guarantee that if you go there once, you would want to go there again and again!!!!

My partner and I travelled all around Europe from December 07 through to February 08 and we can honestly say that Haus Hislop in Inneralpbach was a place that stands out in our minds as one of the best. We stayed here for a week in January and we only wish it could have been longer.
As soon as we drove up to Haus Hislop, we were immediately impressed. The apartment itself (we stayed in apartment 1) was immaculate, very modern and cosy. The facilities within Haus Hislop were great too, there is undercover car parking, a washing machine & a drying room. It had everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay and was a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of skiing.
Claire, our gracious host, could not have been more helpful. Her warm welcome, advice and friendly nature made our stay even better.
The location of the property is also fantastic - having the ski fields right outside your door is amazing, and the proximity to the local village, restaurants and shops is extremely handy. Also, for those like me that aren't brilliant skiers, I found that there are plenty of ski runs within the area from black to blue, to suit all levels.
This was truly a great place to stay, in a truly beautiful area. Inneralpbach is a part of the Austrian Tirol that must be explored, not only in the winter but I think it would be just as beautiful in any season - I look forward to coming back for summer!
Thank you Claire for providing a wonderful place for a great holiday, we can't recommend it highly enough!

We stayed at Haus Hislop in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is near to the gondola station at Inner Alpbach and you can ski all the way down the mountain to within a couple of minutes walk back (depending on ability and the snow conditions!). There is a garage available which you can use for a small extra charge which was a pleasant surprise as we decided to drive from the UK (which was remarkably easy). Having said that you do not necessarily need a car for this resort especially with an excellent restaurant just a few minutes walk up from the apartments (which the locals use as well as the tourists). Claire was a great host and happy to help with any queries that arose and the apartments are clean and modern. In addition, there is a slope behind the apartments which provided great fun for our boys who did not seem to think that skiing for a whole day provided enough exercise! We would definitely go back.

We went to stay at haus hislop in Inneralpbach last summer with our two children. We found the property just by chance surfing over the net and then chose it as Claire was very good at keeping in touch over telephone and email. The property was very neat, well maintained and comfortable and was located in a nice cosy village. We had a great time as "Tirol in summer" was great - white water rafting (great experience) / idle time by the lakes / silver mine (definitely recommended) and a lot more. Kids loved it. Claire was a fantastic and a very helpful host. I would definitely recommend staying at haus hislop - especially in the rooms with the special view from the balcony

We stayed in Haus Hislop with our two young children for Easter and found it to be comfortable, well designed for skiing and in a good location. We'd stayed in Alpbach before, but the convenience of the ski school and the new fast lift up from Inneralpbach worked well with the children. Claire was a great host, helping us out on any questions we had and made the whole booking process easy. The views from the front are stunning, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a real mountain village rather than a purpose built resort. We had a car which gave us a lot of flexibility, and meant we had the choice of walking to local restaurants or driving to Alpbach. It's a great place for children beginning to ski, and also offers some challenging skiing if you are prepared to venture off of the marked pistes.
