It’s difficult to add anything new to the mass of very favourable reviews here. We got very attached to April House for the week we were there. It’s very stylish but also completely relaxing and comfortable. So it would be easy to laze around the pool and barbecue all week but then you’d be missing what’s so special about the island. The sweet smelling pine forests, the hills and the beautiful little coves have to be explored. And it's extraordinary when the 'weeds' by the roadside and hill paths turn out to be lavender and rosemary. You must have dinner in the “Old Town” and lunch in any of the beautiful little villages. MaryAnn has recommendations for where to eat, and one, a beach bar at Es Cubells, is very romantic. We’ d also suggest a trip up to the peak of Sa Talaia (which overlooks the house) for amazing views of Ibiza. April House is the perfect place from which to enjoy this memorable island. <br/>Lyn and Paul

April House- a perfect honeymoon hideaway

We spent a week here in May after getting married in Ibiza and loved it so much we tried to rebook for October but not suprisingly it's already booked.. maybe next year! The house is a lot bigger than it seems in the photos and is such a short walk to the town but totally secluded, quiet and romantic at the same time. <br/>The house was spotless and gorgeously furnished it felt so comfy and instantly felt like a home from home with books and DVD's too <br/>We had a bbq one night and spent most evenings sipping wine by the pool and eating tapas, there is everything you could need at the house for self catering and a lovely meat/cheese counter a 5/10 min walk away at the local supermarket. We had a car and found it the perfect location to visit other areas if we felt like it. We loved it- Thank you MaryAnn! <br/>p.s the cute tiny lizzards that appear at the far end of the pool love sweetcorn kernals if you fancy a laugh

April House in April

As first time visitors to Ibiza, both the island and April House exceeded our expectations. April House is situated on the outskirts of San Jose, close to the main road but at the same time private and secluded. The casita is furnished and equipped to a high standard. The area round the pool has stunning views and was perfect for lazing around on warm afternoons. The central location means that anywhere on the western half of the island is a short drive away and we were amazed at the number of bays and beaches that could be reached within minutes of the property. As it was April, the beaches were very quiet although those south of the airport were slightly busier if that is your preference. All of the beaches were spotless and the Mediterranean crystal clear. <br/> <br/>A perfect location for relaxing and unwinding, with lots to see and do. MaryAnn and Steve are ideal hosts. The property is in a great location <br/>Highly recommended.

I have to say, staying in April house surpassed all our expectations The place is beautiful with great views, beautifully styled, a real home form home. Easy to get to from the airport and close to everything you might need. We couldn't have asked for a better place. MaryAnn and Steve are so welcoming and friendly and made our stay perfect. We love Ibiza and love it even more now after such a positive trip and we look forward to booking the cottage again very soon.

Our holiday at April House in Ibiza

We had a fantastic stay at April House and wished we could have stayed longer. It is a perfect retreat, great for a quiet relaxing holiday. The house is very well equipped with all the comforts of your own home. We loved the outside space too, with a quiet area at the front and the back of the house where we had our morning coffees and a few meals. There is a list of recommended restaurants in the cottage and it is worth following MaryAnn’s and Steve’s recommendations if you want to taste some of the local food and wine. <br/> <br/>Ibiza also looks amazing in February, with all the Almond trees blossoming throughout the island and February is a nice time to visit Ibiza with a fewer tourists around but still lots to do. <br/> <br/>Highly recommended, we hope to return in the autumn.

There's Ibiza and then there's Ibiza

The idea that we were going to spend a week in Ibiza (albeit in Ocober) was greeted with some hilarity by our friends who never saw us as an enthusiastic clubbers. Easy to find from the airpport, April House is part of the other Ibiza, quiet, relaxed, and rural. Just outside Sant Josep, the casita itself is spacious, well-equipped and self-contained and fun. Customer care was excellent! <br/>While it,s easy to take the (not overly-frequent) bus into Eivissa, we would strongly recommend a car to explore the island, its beaches and villages. And just in case you decide you do want to join the 10,000 others at Privilege. Nothing's too far away on Ibiza - that's one of its delights - April House is another. <br/>Strongly recommended - we hope to be back..

I'd highly recommend April House for any type of Ibiza trip. Living space is extremely generous for 2 people and we were quite happy relaxing in the house, pool & BBQ area for full days. The facilities are second to none - kitchen is equipped better than I have at home! Very high quality and comfortable furnishings designed with lovely taste. <br/>Added to this San Jose is within walking distance which was my favourite village on the island with good places to eat & drink while watching the world go by, and as with any small island everywhere else is easy to reach. <br/>MaryAnn & Steve are really friendly and helpful but do not disturb you unless you want them to. <br/>Already counting the pennies to when we can go back!

We had a wonderful week in April House - it really is as it says on the tin...but so much better. Very romantic and unlike many similar places, it was rustic yet included all modcons such as a fully equipped kitchen! The pool and setting were also fabulous. Do make the walk into the village in the evening - it takes only 10 min, far less time than you'd think and, equipped with a torch, we felt quite safe walking on the pathway to the side of the road. The owners of April House recommended some really lovely local restaurants - so do listen to what they say.

We spent an incredibly relaxing week at the wonderful April House cottage and wished we could have stayed longer! It is a little "out of the way", but that's the way we like our vacations. The view is amazing and there's a lovely deck to enjoy your morning coffee from. The owners are helpful and attentive but stay out of the way unless you ask for assistance. We recommend this place very highly!

It's homely, quirky, peaceful & private with lots of space in the accommodation itself, and such a lovely area around the pool & garden. A world away from a purpose built holiday villa, it has all the charm you want for something different. Very close to all you need & far enough away from all you don't! Highly recommended.

We spent the most relaxing week ever in the gorgeous April Cottage in March. Just didn't want to leave. Everything is just perfect....homely and stylish decor, wonderful views, and brilliant location (so peaceful but just a stones throw away from the action). The ideal place to escape from everything at any time of year. We can't rate it high enough..... as it seems does everyone else that visits. So I can see we'll have to book extra early next time.

We have stayed at April House 3 times now - in May (twice) and In August. <br/>It is absolutely perfect for a couple, very private and peaceful with the added bonus of your own pool. <br/>The decor of the house is lovely and there is everything you need. <br/>Ideal location too - feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually San Jose with all the local shops, bars and restaurants is only a few minutes away. <br/>We have really enjoyed each stay and would highly recommend

Lovely Casita for Two

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at April House. We went out of season, on a property hunting trip, and the owners couldn't have made us more welcome. The casita is really homely, with lovely decoration and a gorgeous bedroom with 4 poster bed. The views from the bedroom are great, and the French doors opening onto the pool are a treat. It's really well located for the village of St Josep, and just a 10 minute drive from the airport, although once you arrive you feel in the middle of the countryside. I would definitley recommend the property for a couple looking for a romantic, private place to stay - but within easy reach of the fantastic things Ibiza has to offer! <br/>Hannah & Richard

We really enjoyed our stay at April House & were sad to leave. <br/> Lovely views all round to wake up to.Nice & quiet & secluded but bars etc. a few minutes away.(We stayed by the pooll) <br/> Good location,easy for Ibiza town,Jondal,Bossa,Figueretas.KM5 & Cova a short drive away. <br/> Very clean house but also very homely complete with books,ornaments,kitchen equipment etc.Honesty bar got us out of trouble when we arrived at 3AM! <br/> Only people we saw were the cleaners & the gardener who were friendly & helpful. <br/> Thank you all,we'd love to come back... <br/> Clive & Val,London.
