This was the ideal property for our long awaited one month visit to Paris. The owners were very accommodating to our special requests. Everything was as advertised. We were up and running with wi-fi in a few minutes and the bookshelf of books on Paris was more than we could handle in the month that we were there.
It is nice to walk up the one floor to the apartment, but there is an elevator if required. The concierge was available when we arrived and was very friendly to us. The apartment is spacious and there is a good sized dining table, which is usually an item missing in apartments of this size. Although in the centre of Paris, the apartment was very quiet. We had very little rain during our stay, but when we did, there was a wonderful choice of umbrellas to use.

The kitchen is a typical small French kitchen, with all the amenities. I don't know how the French do it, but they cook the most wonderful meals in these kitchens. I guess all the fancy gadgets in a huge kitchen is not the secret. The owners welcome you to use their stocked pantry, as long as you replace what you have used.
The apartment is truly very central. The Opera is one of the magnets of Paris and it is only two blocks away. There are several theatres, cinemas and restaurants within only one block. Except for the latin quarter, most of the other central parts of Paris are within walking distance, including Montmartre.

For those that want to prepare their own meals, there are several good grocers within a 10 minute walk. The Galerie Lafayette has a most delicious high end market with anything that you can hope for. It is just the other side of the Opera. The Monoprix department store, just five minutes walk, is where the ordinary Parisiens shop. The supermarket, in the basement, has excellent quality at the most reasonable prices.
The owners of this apartment bought it for themselves but then decided to make it available to others as well. It is apparent that they love it, from all the small personal choices that they have made. They are also very amicable and some day we would love to meet them if we are in Rome.
