We really enjoyed our time in Mijas Costa. The apartment is well equiped, clean and it's location makes it an ideal base to explore. There is certainly plenty to see and do. The beach at Fuengirola is clean and spacious, with a lovely promenade and plenty of restaurants. Mini golf kept us entertained, as well as the castle, zoo, marine park and a really enjoyable trip to Gibraltar. One tip is to get to Gibraltar really early to avoid traffic jams, or park outside Gibraltar and walk in - it would have taken us hours waiting in a queue to get in, and also to get out. Andrew and Cathie responded quickly to our e-mails and the whole process of booking etc was hassle free, a pleasure. We would throughly recommend this lovely holiday home.

Mijas Apartment - Fun Family Holiday

The apartment is amazing, has everything in it you could possibly want or need for a holiday, it is very much home from home. It has been well maintained and is immaculately clean and tidy. The balcony gets the sun all afternoon and was lovely in the evening to sit out and watch the sun set, whilst enjoying a drink and planning the next days adventures. <br/>The Management team were very polite and extremely helpful during our stay and they live on site so easily contactable if you had any concerns. <br/>Drew was very helpful on the run up to our holiday providing lots of information to help us plan and enjoy our stay and gave us lots of top tips. Thanks Drew! <br/> <br/>The complex itself is very clean and tidy and not too busy. We had a few days or afternoons around the pools and quite often had them to ourselves which the children loved. The 2 play area's and tennis courts were also a big hit with the kids everything within the complex was clean, tidy and very well maintained. It is also very secure allowing us to relax a little knowing our children couldn't escape onto the road outside. <br/>There is a supermarket and a bar on site both very friendly and extremely convenient. <br/> <br/>We did hire a car although not a necessity as Taxi's can be ordered from the supermarket and arrive almost instantly. The secure underground parking gives peace of mind and keeps the car cool. We found it very easy to drive around the area with the beach, waterpark and zoo all been about a 10min drive and definitely worth a visit with or without children. <br/>Lots of places to eat locally and a great park next to the complex with a bar and bbq facilities. <br/> <br/>We all had a fantastic hassle free holiday and can't recommend this highly enough. The only negative is that 10 days wasn't long enough, so much to see and do we will definitely be returning.

Fantastic Holiday

When we landed it was pitch black and had to collect our car outside of the airport so invariably got lost ! After a phone call to Heather they came to meet us. Once at the apartment though we were delighted at how spacious and clean it was. The underground parking was great as it kept the car very cool. The pool and pool area was very quiet and clean and very secure. Everything was in the apartment that you would expect and the beds were very comfortable. The weather has been brilliant hitting 91 some days so the air con was a god send. Heather and Anders were lovely, Heather got us our shopping in for when we got there, brilliant. There is a massive shopping complex called Myramar which was lovely with a big supermarket inside, very reasonable. I would recommend visiting Benalmedena at night so that you get the full effect it was beautiful. We went out everyday to different places and really enjoyed the surrounding area. I have also recommended this place to my family who are thinking of going. Heather and Anders place on the front called OASIS is lovely and she does a great Sunday lunch. Our holiday was made much more relaxing knowing we could go to them for any problem we had, but we didnt have any. A great time had by all. Lovely apartment, lovely complex, lovely people, thanks Andrew and Cathie for the use of your apartment.

Mijas Apartment - Fantastic holiday

We had a fantastic holiday! The apartment was immaculate and we had everything we could have wished for there. The complex itself was well looked after and the facilities were perfect for the family and/or single couples. We spent several days relaxing by the pool and the children were able to amuse themselves in the play parks and pools. It was extremely secure there with gated entry throughout. <br/> <br/>The complex is in an ideal location, with local convenience stores and bars/reastaurants literally outside. We were also surprised at how central the complex was; with the popular beaches (i.e.La Cala) close by and plenty of other sights to see without having to travel very far at all. <br/>Thanks to the owners for all of your advice and help beforehand. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering a holiday here. <br/>We did not want to leave and will definitely be going back!

Mijas apartment holiday

We had a fantastic 10 days on the Costa del Sol. The drive from the airport was made so much easier by the directions/photos that Andrew had sent through to us beforehand, and only took us around 25 mins. As it was a late evening arrival, Heather came around the next morning, and provided us with all the information we required - very helpful! <br/> <br/>The apartment was really clean and tidy, and had absolutely everything you'd need for a trouble-free 10 days. There is a supermarket on site, but as per previous reviewers, it's much cheaper (for a big shop) to go to one of the bigger supermarkets close by. <br/> <br/>The complex is very well maintained - really quiet! some days we were the only people by the pool! It's very secure, so our 2-year old son could run around without the risk of him running out into a road, etc. Plus underground parking, so you knew the car was safe too! <br/> <br/>You definitely need a car, as you can't really walk anywhere, but the apartment is still close to the beaches and other attractions (waterpark, zoo, marina, etc.) <br/> <br/>Andrew was extremeley helpful in the run-up to our holiday, providing all the information (and more) that we'd need for our trip. <br/> <br/>I would recommend this apartment for either a relaxing and quiet stay on site, and with a seemingly unlimited number of things to do just a short drive away!!!

Owners Response: Thanks for s great review, just to clear a few points up, you can walk to the Tamisa Golf Hotel which takes about 10 minutes, or the park (With a bar) which is right outside the complex. There are 4 bars which are withing walking distance including the "Mon To Sun" bar which is attached to the complex. We would recommend everyone visiting the costa del sol to hire a car as there are so many things to do and see, unless you just want to chill and not go anywhere, in which case we cater for that also. Taxi's are available outside the complex. For the best car hire we recommend carrentals dot co dot uk.

One of the best self catering experiences we have had. Apartment was fabulous in every sense, extremely clean and easy to find. Apartment complex ideally located for easy access to all the tourist attractions on the coast. Beaches were superb & very close by (Make sure you don't wander into the nudist beaches like we did!!) Management team were very helpful and answered all our questions on arrival and during our stay. Good to have internet access to keep on top of emails and to tell our friends how good our holiday was! We could not fault this holiday rental experience apart from the fact we could not stay longer. We will definitely be back next year. Thanks to everyone for a superb hassle free holiday experience.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday, apartment was exactly as the photos suggest. The complex itself is very secure and clean. The instructions were very clear and we arrived no problem. A car is def reccomended for shopping and eating out, we went to La Cala most evenings, highly reccomend El Gusto, its the best steak ever !!. My boys were slightly disappointed with the no ball games rule but really enjoyed the pools. <br/>Thanks again for a great holiday

Our rental rates allow for a hire car in your budget (Please contact us for the best deals on the Costa) If you rent a beach side apartment it will cost an extra 50% of what we are charging and you would still need to hire a car or be stuck in the one place for the whole of your holiday. Taxis are plentiful and its a 5 minute journey to la Cala, Fuengirola or Cabapino beaches and restaurants, so its not going to cost a fortune if everyone wants to enjoy a tipple. No ball games allowed inside the pool areas for obvious reasons, you don't want to be constantly bothered by balls hitting you while you try to relax, however you are allowed to play ball games outside the immediate pool areas. If you want to guarantee you have a great holiday just like the famlies who submitted these reviews then please book with us.

FANTASTIC, ONE OF THE BEST

Wow, what a holiday we had this year, the Costa Del Sol is truly the coast of the sun. We arrived at the apartment complex 25 minutes after leaving the airport, the straight forward directions took us straight there. We were met by Heather and Brian who showed us to the apartment and explained all the important stuff. The apartment was immaculate and looked even better than the pictures on the website, it was furnished to a very high standard. The owners have compiled a very comprehensive information pack that tells you everything you need to know during your stay, we found this very helpful. The apartment and complex has everything you need, a home from home in every respect. There is a supermarket onsite, that has everything you need, although we recommend that you shop at Lidel or Euroski as the prices are quite a bit cheaper. The complex and pool areas were very well presented, the whole complex is very quiet and we found ourselves just chilling by one of the pools on the days we were not out and about. The complex is very secure for children with locked gates and onsite security, we felt very safe. The underground parking was great and kept our car cool. The apartment is in a great location, very close to the beaches and many other attractions, we felt that it was very good value for money, compared to other holiday options, where the accommodation might not be what it showed in the brochure. We felt that having the owners management company living onsite was a worth its weight in gold as any ? we had about the area or trips were answered at any time. We loved this holiday and are going to book to go next year, there just was not enough time to fit everything in during the week we were there. We would just like to thank everyone for making our holiday a great one.

Peaceful - Relaxing - Charming - Fun - Gastronomic

We arrived at midday on the 25th June and found that the road was closed through to where the apartment was situated due to a new road being constructed. I contacted Heather who gave me alternative directions which were spot on. She carried (pulled) the cases to the lift and up to the apartment and gave us lots of good advice about the area. We had this same sort of communication with Drew and Cathie who were always available to answer any queries that we might have. <br/> <br/>The apartment itself was really nicely set out and had everything that you could possibly want and more than you would generally expect from a holiday apartment. It was clean and well furnished and the balcony had the sun all evening and was a wonderful sun trap. We have two young children, Keira (3) and Joshua (4 months) and although Josh can't express himself many of the photos we have of him show his big beaming smile. Keira loved it in the pool and despite our concerns about her swimming ability was happy in both the small and the larger pool. The grounds are well maintained and the amenities on the front of the complex can provide you with all you need for your stay. The complex itself is fairly central to any of the local attractions/resorts and so makes a superb location to stay on holiday. We spent our time at the La Cala "Town" which had a lot of excellent restaurants "El Gusto" was superb. It also has a lovely quiet beach which is great for the kids. <br/> <br/>Reluctantly we had to leave the keys behind and come home today and so we are feeling a little deflated. We absolutely loved this holiday and would definitiely recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a quiet holiday with the option to liven it up if you wish with the proximity of other resorts and attractions (Parque Aquatico Mijas is great we went three times). The apartment is really well looked after and if Drew and Cathie ever think of selling we would like to be on the list of interested parties. Thanks guys for sharing your apartment with us, we hope to be back again in the very near future.

Great relaxing break

Arrived around 1:30 am due to flight delay and even at this hour, the welcome was great (from Heather). Complex is a reasonable size but quite quiet at all times and with two pools at either side, there is always a good spot to be had! Handy small supermarket on site and apartment itself is well maintained (and clean) with all you need for a 'switch-off' break. Balcony is a great suntrap in the afternoon through to sunset if you fancy a bit of privacy. Good to have a car to get around and secure underground car park keeps it cool through the day. Quick communication, advice and assistance before, during and after from both the owners and the on-site management made this the most hassle-free holiday experience we've had. <br/>Great value, will definitely return and use again - probably for longer if we can!

Excellent welcome. Friendly and helpful management team on site - nothing is too much trouble. Lovely complex. Extremely clean and tidy. Peaceful location with a host of great amenities. Great apartment with every home comfort you could wish for. They have thought of everything. Very clean with quality fixtures and fittings - these owners take a real pride in their apartment, as I hope others staying there will continue. Great value for money. Would definitely return. Location is good with a friendly bar and shops very close by. Highly recommended whether it be for a weekend away or a week or two relaxing. This apartment was one of the best apartments we have been to, the complex itself was very peaceful. we feel that it is worth hiring a car to get about as there is pleanty to do and see around the area.

We arrived at our apartment around mid-day and was very pleased with the clean, well maintained apartment. There was 2 supermarkets and a couple of local bars on the complex front. The owners of these were very helpful. <br/>The owners of the apartment gave good advice and good customer service. <br/> <br/>On the down side- You really need a car to get about as we had not hired one it was costing us 12 - 15 euro's (one way) down to the beach. Only a couple of Bars close by with out having to get a taxi.

Many thanks to Andrew and Cathie for the proffesional service they provide. We had a wonderful holiday with our elderly parents. The complex is very user friendly for older people, leasy access for wheel chairs, lifts and ramps great. The complex is very clean and is minutes away by car from all the top attractions of the Costa-Del-Sol. The complex has an internet cafe, bar, resteraunts, shops, hair salon etc etc, it was perfect. Having a managment company on site is worth its weight in gold, Howard explained everything to us and was close at hand for any other questions we had. We have booked again for next year, but without our parents. Very many thanks once again, can't wait for next year.

What a great holiday. The apartment was great. Very good condition and the pool area is great for both the kids and the adults. Even two little pools for the toddlers. Just outside the complex there is a lovely bar which serve lovely food and the hospitality is good as well. Also the is a BBQ area Just outside the complex as well which we spent many an evening. Cheap food and drink. The water park was great for all the family but the food was expencive so take your own food there, The beach is really nice with loads of bars and restaurants ans gift shops.

We arrived on the afternoon of the 1st of July and was straight away happy with the apartment and surrounding complex. Having two young and ACTIVE kids it was a safe and secure area for them to play in and they loved all the facilities provided there. Especially the swings, pool and tennis courts. Apartment itself was very good, clean and very comfortable to live in, was like home from home with redeerrzz weather!!!. The apartment had all the mod cons and the washing machine was used very frequently and was a god send to have. We travelled all around the surrounding areas inclding nearby La Cala which has all the bars, resturants and supermarkets you would ever need. There is plenty to do and only a short distance from Marbella and Giraltar you can go further a field if you wish. Myself and my family, including my Mum and Dad enjoyed every minute of our stay there and intend to return there next year. Many thanks to Drew and Cathy and we look forward to next year already.

We arrived late at night to be greeted and shown all facilities in apartment by the on site management company which was very helpful. The apartment was excellent and catered for all our family needs. The complex is ideal for families as it is very security conscious. If not by the pool we spent the week exploring the surrounding areas (including the nearby waterpark and several beaches). We dined out regularly at both Fuengirola and Mijas. In all we had a great holiday, we have recommended it to all our friends and we have booked up to go back again this year. <br/>A big thanks to Drew and Cathy!!!!

The Powell family holidayed at Drew & Cathies apartment in August 2007. It was excellent!!! Every detail was explained and we all had a fantastic time. We relaxed by the pool, played tennis, visited local beaches, Gibraltar and ate out. Truly marvellous, thanks folks. Would recommend and definitely go again. <br/> <br/>Mark & Su P

This apartment is in an ideal location and is beautifully furnished.The two pools on the site are quiet and well maintained.There is a small supermarket on the site with realistic prices and the owners also have an agent on hand to help with any queries that you may have and also help with golf bookings ,car hire etc.<br/>Fuengirola is close at hand but not too close!<br/>There are lots of places nearby to visit.....Mijas,Cabopino,Benalmadena Marina,try the Argentinian Angus restaurant at Benalmadena and La Despenza at Cabopino.<br/>Book this apartment with confidence ............you can't go wrong

Olá, sou José Mota. Fui com a minha família, e mas um casal com sua filha passar uma semána neste apartamento. É um bom apartamento, num sítio muito calmo, pena ficar um pouco longe da praia. Fomos recebidos com simpatia.Foi-nos mostrádo o apartamento, só ouve um pequeno problema com o sítio para o automovél, e se forem duas família um dos veiculos tem de ficar no exterior ( na frente do empriêndimento ). Se forem 6 pessoas, falem com o propriatário, para colocar roupa de cama de casal para poderem usar o sófa cáma, nos tivemos esse problema... . As praias, isso sim são todas elas boas, das que visitamos para nós a do ( Faro ) é a melhor. Tem sítio para estacionar, não é como as da cidáde, que para arranjar sítio para o carro, era um grande problema. No que respeita, a poder comprar, comestiveis tem perto um bom supermercádo onde tem muitas coisa em conta, e muita variedade, fica mesmo na primeira rotunda quem vem do apartamento para a cidade, do ládo esquerdo. Em suma, foram umas férias bem passádas. P.s.- Deixo aqui as melhoras para o Andrew, pois me disseram que estáva doente. Obrigádo, por a nossa estadia.
