From the moment we arrived everything was perfect - the house was immaculately clean with the beds made up ready for us to drop into on our late arrival. The children aged 7 and 9 had a wonderful time jumping in and out of the pool all day and we had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the balcony. With its proximity to the old town, we were able to wander up and down when we fancied for a gentle and unhurried mooch. We also went to Figures (the Dali museum is amazing) but were enjoying the house and Girona so much that we decided against travelling to Barcelona. It was great not to have the hassle of a car.; using the local trains and buses was an adventure the children enjoyed. The restaurants in Girona were lovely and we had a particularly good lunch on the day before we left. The only difficult parts were choosing which restaurant and what to have from the menu.
The agent called midweek to check that all was OK and to enquire if we needed anything. He maintains the property to the highest standard.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend it highly to family and friends; we hope to return. It is hard to imagine how this villa could be improved upon.

I am really reluctant to write this because I don't want to share the secret but this villa is FABULOUS.
It has the feel of a home without being too clinical. From the owner to agent everything about the experience was pleasant, accommodating, informative and easy.
The villa's best aspect is the view probably among the best in Girona. Being April the weather although warm was mixed, but did not stop us from taking full advantage of the outside dinning area every morning and night.
We were only a group of 4 so the villa had bags of room inside and out.
The beds are comfortable, the showers are highly efficient the kitchen is large enough to use and everything in it is good quality so the knives cut the pans wash and there is an appropriate glass for everything.
Although not far, town can be a hike because of the hill; however, there is a bus and a taxi was only €6.
We frequently travel preferring to use villas and apartments where possible, this house felt like a home and with only 4 days away it made a huge difference to be immediately comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed much longer.
Even the pool had some use and here too you will find a very functional pool long enough to swim in. The garden was clearly suffering from winter blues but I am sure will be a fine sight come the summer.
What more can I say?? I like it - but I'm not sure you will.

This villa is such a great choice whether you are just visiting Girona itself or touring the surrounding area. It is maybe not ideal if you intend to use the train or buses as you would be a distance from your starting point but we hired a car and the free parking is a plus sign straight away. It wasn't so easy to find but the owner sent lots of instructions and it was only because we came off the wrong motorway exit and came into Girona a different way that put us in a bit of a tizz.
The photographs on this site are accurate and the villa is just so spacious.Admittedly there were only 3 of us but it still worked out cheaper than booking 2 quality hotel rooms in town. The views are lovely - well worth the walk up the steps to the property. We used to walk down (between 10 and 15 minutes) and taxi back. You can catch a taxi for 6.5 euros from round the corner of Placa Independencia and believe me it was money well spent. You can catch the number one bus but we weren't sure where to buy the bus tickets from or where the stop was.
I particularly liked the cosy living room - those settees are just so comfy and ofcourse the outside areas. It was a bit too chilly first thing in the morning (end of February) to sit outside but once we got back to the villa in the afternoon after doing our touring for the day we enjoyed sitting on the top balcony which really does catch the sun. We even had lunch up there one day.
There were only 2 english channels - a music one and a US comedy show one so an english news channel would have been good but you can take your own cd's and dvd's.
The property is clean and well maintained and the owners will answer any queries you have before hand and are very friendly.
List of what we did : Arab baths, city wall walk, tour of cathedral, brilliant indoor market just past Placa Catalunya and then over the bridge. Ate at The River Cafe (great meat on skewers which they called Arrows), tapas at Lizzaran which was great for sitting in the sun at lunch time. Lovely crepes at Creperie Bretonne, posher meal at Draps where they prepare large dishes "To Share". Avoid The Bistro near Cathedral! Disgusting! Days out to Figures for the Salvador Dali museum, Roses which was quiet at this time of year but we had a nice lunch at La Palmerias which was just on the end of the beach walk and packed out. Cadaques and Besalu also lovely.
Villa and area HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Excellent villa, as described on web site. Superb location with fantastic views across Girona to mountains beyond. Clean, well maintained villa with lovely pool. Beautiful light airy lounge with comfortable furniture ideal for relaxing and taking in the views. Suitable for both short breaks and longer stays. Plenty of room for extended family or more than one family.
Girona compact historic city with beautiful cathedral, museums, restaurants and culture, well placed for visits to the coast and Barcelona.
First class communication with agent who did everything to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommended.

Had the most amazing weekend in Girona. Firstly the villa is immaculate. It looks nice in the pictures & is even better in reality! It is very clean, very comfortable & very well equiped. The views are awesome of Girona & surrounding countryside. The agent in Spain was also really lovely. Be aware that the villa is on a hill & a bit of a climb back up but worth it - doesn't take long to get to the gorgeous old town. Its all very olde worlde - lots of little cobbled streets & alleys. Unexpectedly beautiful little town. Fab bars & restaurants - especially down alleys & off the main drag. Great location as regular trains/buses to the amazing must visit city of Barcelona. Can't wait to return!

The description was accurate, The communication with the owner was very good and prompt. The property is well located for Girona old city which is very good for food and bars and the property was clean and maintained. The agent was friendly and on time for handovers. I would recommend the property and location to friends.
Girona - the 1 hour city (i hour France, 1 hour Barcelona, 1 hour beaches) - a good base.
