We made the most of the great weather by having lots of bbq's garry and bernie where great hosts and kacie our 4 year old daughter fell in love with oliver the dog. the pool was also kacie's highlight she could not quite beleive she had a pool all to herself i would definatly recommend this villa to anyone especially people with young children very safe and secure .
I have already loooked at flights for next year . Thank you garry and bernie for the best holiday .

A Fabulous Return

Date Submitted: September 17, 2009   Date of Stay: August 2009
yet again we return from a fabulous holiday at Villa Cabopino- and again we have booked for next year. It was great to see Garry and Bernie again and of course Olie! They are terrific hosts and one of the nicest couples you could ask for.

The Villa was everything we remembered and we ahev booked for next year withe same confidance as last. This year we visited Puerto Banus on the Saturday as they have a a big market there located up past the Bullring. The village of Mijas is lovley and very quint with lots of craft shops. We also went to Benalmadena and visited the Marina which is stunning.

We barbacued a lot but can recommend the Cabo Pizza (just like dominos) take away and Da Brunos Italian both were very good.

Although we hired a car this year, the local bus service is terrific and the bus stops are only about 200yds away..

If you are looking to book a Villa - this will tick all the boxes and more.

Thank you Garry and Bernie for another great year and we all look forward toi seeing you again in 2010.

Ollie - we will bring you scottish sausage!!

Owners Response: It was really lovely to see the Scot's crowd again, and we are so pleased that they enjoyed their return trip.

The fact that they decided to stay for a bit longer this time, was an added bonus, as they did get about a bit, to see the local sights.

We are delighted that they have already booked again for next year and look forward to seeing you all again then.

Excellent Villa

M.A.B   Coventry, England.
Date Submitted: August 28, 2009   Date of Stay: July 2009
We arrived at the villa in the dark and we were greeted with the most beautiful display of lights around the garden and in the pool, what a start to our holiday!
The villa is fantastic, very spacious with all the facilities as promised, it is very safe and I felt that I could relax and not have to worry about being over looked. It is ideal for families, children are able to play in the gardens safely without the fear of them getting out or anyone getting in. The villa and the pool are immaculate and well maintained.
Gary and Bernie are so friendly and helpful not just with looking after the villa but in ensuring that your stay is the best it could possibly be.
If you can tear yourselves away from the pool! the beach and port are a 10 minute walk away; nice restaurants and cafes around the port, good for happy hour!
There area couple of small supermarkets within walking distance and no end of good restaurants.
The aim of our holiday was to relax and chill out so we did not visit many of the local attractions but there is a lot of literature in the villa if you want to see the sights.
The local taxis are very reliable if you do not want to hire a car and they have set rates which means they are very reasonable.
I would reccomend this villa to everyone but I think it is perfect for families, you can have a quiet, relaxed holiday away from the crowds.

We had absolutely fantastic holiday at Villa Cabopino. If you want to enjoy your own peace and want to spend time with your friends or family this is your place. There were 9 of us and we had great bbq parties after hot days at poolside and trips to fantastic sights. Location was great but we recommend to rent a car. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. Garry, Bernie and Ollie were great and gave us good tips for shopping and nightlife.

We really recommend this place. Everything worked perfectly...

Villa Cabopino

Date Submitted: July 25, 2009   Date of Stay: July 2009
The 7 of us had a great holiday, between our 2 families there are 4 adults and 3 children. The villa was fab and all previous reviews sum it up. I've got to say for children it is the safest holiday we have ever been on, the villa is extremely secure and if Gary and Bernie hear the gate open from downstairs they always have their door open to check, as well as needing a key to enter the property you need one to exit.
We didn't hire a car and to be honest if we went this time of year again we would but purely due to the heat, saying that Gary and Bernie took us to the supermarket whenever we needed to go. We found the campsite, which is a 10 min walk away, excellent for the children, the food was great as well and reasonable. If you've got active kids you can pay for a day pass for the kids (5 Euros) to join in camp activities. We didn't do it this time but when we go back our 8 year old son definitely wants to do it. The beach is clean and safe and you really don't need anything more from a holiday. If anyone is thinking of booking Villa Cabopino I would say trust the reviews you couldn't want anything more from a holiday. Thank to Gary and Bernie

This was definately one of the best holidays we have ever had. The villa is beautiful very luxurious and with plenty of room for everyone. It has everything you need and is excellently maintained and very clean. We had two young childern with us and found the property very safe and child friendly, the pool is a great size and the kids had loads of fun in it.
Puerto Cabopino has a lovely beach and port and some excellent restaurants, there is plenty to do around Cabopino and it is easy to visit near by resorts as the villa is centrally located.
The owners Garry and Bernie provide excellent customer service and make fantastic hosts and Oliver the dog made the kids holiday. We will definately book this villa again next year and would recommend it to family and friends. Thanks for a great holiday, see you next year.

Villa Cabopino - Stay from May 30 to June 6

Simon & Vicky   Redhill, Surrey, UK.
Date Submitted: June 08, 2009   Date of Stay: May 2009
The six of us (three generations - my wife and I, our two girls (aged almost 3 and 1) and my wifes mum and husband) had a lovely time at this villa.  It is very clean and modern inside but retains that traditional charm too.  The rooms were nice and spacious with very good bathroom facilities, and the pool and gardens are well maintained.

I was pleasantly surprised at how warm the pool was
considering it was still May when we arrived, and our two young girls loved every minute in it! Although there are steps, marbled floors and a pool, the villa and gardens are otherwise as child friendly as you can get. The owners provided us with cot, highchair, changing mat etc and there is no means of young children escaping from the garden!

The owners, Garry and Bernie, were very hospitable and were always available to answer our questions regarding days out, places to eat, directions etc. On our first day they gave us a tour to show us the local port/beach/ supermarkets/restaurants etc.

You could definately get away without a car, although we had one and with a toddler and baby we found it easier to drive to the local beach since the parking was so easy (1 Euro donation to the car park attendant). The port and beach are lovely and you could easily have a lazy holiday at the villa and Cabopino Port and beach, although we had some days out at Marbella, Fuengirola and Mijas which are all close by.

We would definitely recommend the villa to anyone going to the area, and it is ideal for families and anyone looking for a quietish break.

Recommended for: Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway

Owners Response: Thanks again for another great review.

I must agree with Simon's point about a car, it is not always needed here, due to the proximity of the Port & beach, but is very helpful for the odd day out and trip to the supermarket.

Another lovely review from another lovely family, many thanks!

We were all very impressed with the villa, it was furnished to a high standard and very well equip. Garry and Bernie were excellent hosts and always very helpful, it was great to have them close by. The beach is a 15 minute walk away with plenty of different restaurants to choose from, and from our trip out to Marbella, the bus services seemed regular and uncomplicated. Thanks Garry and Bernie for a great holiday.

We rented Villa Cabo Pino for a family holiday in May. Our ages range from 60 down to 9 months. From the moment we arrived Bernie and Garry made us very welcome. They gave us a tour of the area to show us where to find the beach and shops etc:and were on hand if we needed anything.
We all loved the villa and as the weather was warm and sunny we made the most of the lovely gardens and pool.
We visited quite a few places including Gibraltar, Marbella, Mijas Village and Puerto Banus.
Puerto Cabo Pino was only a short walk away. This is a really beautiful place with good restaurants and a safe beach.
The men played golf at Cabo Pino Golf Club a short distance away and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We did not eat out as our grandson was ready for bed at the end of each day! but enjoyed relaxing evenings making good use of the barbecue.
The week passed too quickly and we were all very sorry to leave. We would certainly recommend the villa and the whole area.
We plan to return next year. !!

I can't say enough about how fantastic this holiday was! The villa is absolutely amazing. Huge, beautifully decorated, very clean - everything you could want.
Garry & Bernie met us when we arrived. We had asked for a welcome pack and my husband was particuarly delighted with the beers! The next morning they gave us a quick tour of the local area, which was very helpful. Oliver the dog (very small!) wanted to be our friend but
our 2 year old wasn't sure about him so they kept him away from her. Garry & Bernie were there when you needed them but other than that you didn't know they were there.
We hired a car and although this isn't necessary as Puerto Cabopino is beautiful with a lovely beach, great bars and a lovely harbour, we found it a real plus as we had some lovely days out to Fuengirola, Puerto Banus, Mijas and Marbella.
I will be recommending this property to family and friends - great property, beautiful area and fantastic hosts.
Thanks for a fab break, hope to see you again!

Nothing to add, it's all been said before and it's all true !!
Mother (80's), her Cousin (70's), me (60's), my Wife (50's), my Sister (50's), her partner (50's), my Daughter (20's), her Husband (30's) and my Grandaughter (1 and a bit) - super time in spite of the weather, nothing too much trouble for Garry and Bernie (shame they couldn't control the weather but that would be asking too much). Happy to run us to the Supermarket and to Garry's friend to hire a car. Lovely rooms with great facilities. Plenty of space for us all to sit inside and eat & drink. Easy walk to Cabopino and the local shops. Love to get there again in the Summer sometime. Not sure my Mother could walk across the nudist beach again, might send her pacemaker into overdrive!!
Highly recommended for guests of all ages.

A Lovely Villa in a Beautiful location

Banger   Kenilworth.
Date Submitted: October 28, 2008   Date of Stay: April 2008
My family and i visited the Villa in April 2008 and had a wonderful time. The accomodation is superb, with my youngest son Adam commenting "Quality" when he saw his bedroom.
We made full use of the pool for our week, and also hired a car to visit Puerto Banus and Marbella.
Garry & Bernie recommended we try Da Bruno's for a meal and suggested we put on our "glad-rags" for the occasion, it was well worth it.
We took a slow walk down to the Port most nights, and had some great meals down there, with Alberts coming out as a firm favourite for all of the family, they make you very welcome.
The week seemed to end too quickly and we will be recommending this place to all our friends.

From the moment we arrived at the airport to the drop off to go home Garry and Bernie were so helpful and welcoming, from taking us on a tour of the area to dropping us at the shops nothing was too much to ask of them.

The villa was beautiful with really spacious clean rooms, and the pool was perfect for the 8 of us. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday, the weather was fantastic and the beach and restaurants were just a short walk away.

There was plenty to keep us occupied whether it was a trip to the waterpark or a night out at Puerta Banus. The Sportsman pub was a home away from home and Cabo Pizza was the one of the best meals of the week.

Overall a fantastic holiday which we would definately look into booking again. Thanks for everything!

Owners Response: We are pleased that Sam and her party found plenty to enjoy in the vicinity.

They took full advantage of our "Guestbook" recomendations, which provides a very useful view on pretty much all of the local Bars & Restaurants.

Thanks for another great review!

I would just like to say that this was one of the loveliest holidays we have had as a family in a very long time, we usually stop at a hotel or apartment and it is was our first time at a villa and it has changed our views on holidays.
Gary and Bernie were the perfect hosts and catered to our every whim. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious and the pool was to die for...with everything you need for a family break and more. Because the villa had everything to hand we had no need to go elsewhere although we did visit the beach twice and then couldnt wait to get back to our pool to cool down and we had a few nights out at the port in puerto cabopino which were lovely. Will definately go back again in the not to distant future for another 10/10 holiday.

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at the villa. If you have viewed the website and think it looks fabulous, we can confirm it really is as good as it looks and more!

Garry and Bernie are the perfect hosts , from the minute you arrive to you leave - you will love these people. The area is ideal from shopping in Marbella, designer in Puerto Banus- and you must take a trip to Gibraltar. The guys loved the golf and its on the doorstep ! We can also recommend The Village Inn in Orange Square for excellent food and flamenco dancing, also Cabo Pizza for excellent pizzas and friendly delivery.

We fell in love with the villa, the people and the coastline. A special mention to Ollie (the King Charles Spaniel )who is an excellent pool guard and now has a taste of scottish sausages- we loved him to bits!

We have booked for next year , and hope this is just the beginning of a long relationship with Villa Cabopino.

On our arrival we were welcomed by Bernie and Garry who gave a quick tour and left us to settle in. The villa is very spacious with good quality fixtues and fittings and extremely clean, the bedlinen and towels provided were all changed regularly. The garden and pool were all well maintained, the garden setting is beautiful.
The villa is close to Cabopino beach, great for your body boards, the Italian restaurant Da Brunos is within walking distance and it is only a short drive to the driving range and golf course.
We stayed with 3 children aged 18 to 10 years and in Marbella there are plenty of activities to keep them occupied, from beach, golf, go karting, water parks, shooting, riding and of course shopping for the girls at La Canada or Cortes Ingles.
Bernie and Garry the owners were helpful and friendly and gave me help and advice when I needed it and gave me the space to enjoy a relaxing break with my children.

We were ready for a relaxing family holiday and Villa Cabopino exceeded all expectations. The villa itself was luxurious with ample room, huge beds, walk in wardrobe and fabulous shower and jacuzzi bath. Outside the garden with its banana and palm trees provided the perfect location to play in or simply lounge around the pool. The grounds were completely safe and secure so our 5 year old could play without the worry that she may be at risk.
The kitchen facilities were home from home whatever you needed was there plus a barbecue on the patio for those really lazy days.
The hosts Bernie and Garry keep this villa to the highest standards and offer valuable information on the location including the best shops (go to the Irish butcher for your BBQ stuff!), bars, beaches and restaurants. Most importantly they offered good company if you wanted it but if not ,you would never know they were there.
We are booking for next year!!!

Garry & Bernie are excellent hosts who could do no more they took us to a supermarket so we could stock up on food and drinks and were very knowledgable about where to go out and eat and places to visit. Villa Cabopino Review

We were looking for a safe family holiday in Spain , we found Villa Cabopino, we visited the site and booked 10 days in march. We were greeted at the airport and taken to the villa.
The accommodation was beautifully presented clean and welcoming and just as the site described. We had use of the pool, bar and a lovely garden which the children had a great time playing in whilst we were able to relax knowing our children were safe and visible. The villa is set in its own secure grounds and walking distance from a great beach, bars bus route and local entertainment. We hired a car and everything was really accessible.
While we were there we visited all around the coast there was plenty of attractions and fun family things to do and everywhere was well signposted and easy to get to.

We had a fantastic holiday, the weather was great the accommodation was perfect and Gaz and Bernie were fantastic hosts providing a wonderful environment for a family holiday. We would recommend villa Cabopino to anybody and will definitely be booking to return ourselves.

Owners Response: We are delighted that the above response was so complementary of our Villa, i would like to think that we offer a very high quality property, whilst still managing to achieve a relaxed family environment.
