From August 24 until 31 we stayed in this apartment in Nice. We had a great time, the location of the apartment is perfect and the apartment is very well equipped! We were pleasantly surprised. We do have a critical remark however.
We rented the apartment because the description clearly states the apartment is suitable for six persons. One double bed, two single beds and one sofa bed for two. However, the sofa bed (when pulled out) is absolutely not suitable for two grownups. Two children might be able to sleep there, but there is just not enough space for two grown up friends to sleep there. Even for one person, sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room is not comfortable at all. The bed is hard and the room is very warm because there is no air-conditioning and the sun, coming up on this side, cannot be completely blocked as only one window has shutters.
We think you should not advertise your apartment as you do because it is misleading. We had a lovely time in Nice, but if we had known in advance that the apartment is not suitable for six, we would have rented something else.
Again, we had a great time in Nice and the apartment is very nice. We just hope this review will help prevent the kind of issues we had.
(FYI: We also sent an e-mail to the owner on this subject (a month ago), but unfortunately we received no response).
Best regards, Els

Had a good holiday.apartment in a good position particulary for the beach. apartment air conditioned in all the bed rooms but not in the lounge which we would have benefited from as the week we stayed as it was particulary hot.
the lift up to the apartment was not particulary reliable and was out of use more than it was in use.
It would have been of benefit to have had more information on certain aspects of the apartment ie the television. We spent ages to try and set it up.
It was quite noisy at night.
The Barrackuda resturant in the same street of the apartment was excellent. Great food and great service.

6 of us, (teenagers) stayed in this apartment, and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The apts. location was excellent, and extremely close to the beach, restaurants, shops and Place Massena. It was well stocked and we stayed in some nights to cook. The only problem was that we felt the apartment was not suitable for 6 people, perhaps 5. The couch-bed in the living room was advertised as a double, but was in fact a single bed, resulting in 1 of the girls sleeping on the floor! Apart from this, we had a fantastic holiday and really loved the apt. We are considering booking it again for next year, as it so perfectly met our requirements, the location in particular was superb!! Great for a city get-away!!

Owners Response: The sofa bed in the living room does pull down into a normal size double bed and can comfortably sleep 2 people.
Having 2 showers/3 toilets is also a great plus for larger groups.

The welcome pack of information, we received before we arrived covered everything from how to get from the airport to the apartment, location, restaurants, train and bus services, and a lot of history regarding Nice and round about. The description of the apartment was very accurate and everything was catered for. It was like home from home. It had stated to expect some noise due to the location and Saturday night was noisy, but all the rest of the week we were not disturbed. The lift was out of action for the whole week, so if any elderly might be staying, I think this should be taken in to consideration as it was a long haul up the 3 flight of stairs. Eating out could be expensive, but we shopped around, be aware that beer was very expensive. Eating in was no problem as the local markets were very near and the cooking facilities within the apartment were excellent. You must go on the the little white train, on the sea front as the tour up to the Chateau was far better than walking. Eze village is a must, we took the bus, from the bus station and it cost 1 euro. We travelled to Monaco, Cannes, Villa Franche Der sur all by train. A lovely holiday was had by all and we would certainly like to stay at this apartment, which I have already recommended to friends and family.

We just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in the South of France and having this centrally located apartment in Nice was just wonderful as was our host.
The apartment had old world charm and 2 fully updated baths as well as a WC and a fully equipped updated kitchen.
The apartment was located close to all bus and train accomodations and arriving from the airport, it was easily located.
Our hosts were wonderful and very accomodating with meeting and departure schedules.
I would highly recommend this apartment.

We stayed this property for a week this summer and thought it was fantastic. It was incredibly well equipped, clean and very close to the front. It has everything necessary to enjoy your stay whether residing inside, on the beach or wandering around the nearby streets.
A great place to stay at any time of the year!
Highly recommended.

This property more than lived up to its description. It's a comfortable blend of traditional accommodation and contemporary facilities within a charming building. Its location is excellent for train and bus connections in and around Nice and for the Promenade itself. Because of its position, it can be noisy - late night pavement cleaning and rubbish removal etc. but this is a price worth paying for its great convenience.

This apartment was just as described. Very comfortable. Make sure you understand how to use everything at check in because all the instructions are in French. The washing dries very quickly on the line at the back. The shower room is superb. The shower in the bath is a bit restrictive. I wouldn't recommend this apartment for anyone who needs a wheelchair or is disabled. The lift is quite small. Everything you need within easy walking distance. Sea, Old Town, Cafe's, Shops, Supermarket, Cinema (english speaking films), Bus and train stations. It only costs 1 euro to go to Cannes on the bus which takes approximately 2 hours. Every bus and tram ride is 1 euro. There are miles of sandy beach at Cannes. You can travel by train too, it is faster but dearer. The Barracuda restaurant (turn left out of the apartment) is very good.
Take the little train to Entrevaux, it is a lovely place.
The weather was not so good.If you go late May/early June take an umbrella.

Immaculate apartment in lovely traditional French building with ideal facilities in a great location for beach, town centre and railway station. The apartment was as described and is spacious and ideal for 2 couples. The bedrooms were a good size and the ensuite bathroom, separate shower room and wc were spotless. The dining/lounge area was perfect to relax in and was a good space if you preferred to dine in and utilise some of the amazing food markets in Nice. The service provided by the flat owners was faultless and we couldn't have asked for a better, more helpful and friendly service.
We would be more than happy to return to this apartment.

This is an apartment for those who appreciate the elegance and beauty of Belle Epoc architecture. It was spacious, comfortable and flooded with light and had been refurbished with sensitivity and care. The modern kitchen fitted in perfectly and all the amenities in the apartment were of a high standard. It was in excellent condition when we arrived and all dealings with the owner were good. Location was ideal, literally within a stone's throw of the Promenade des Anglais, in a friendly, partly residential area of small shops, caf'es and numerous restaurants which was busy with daily life and not just a tourist centre. Part of Nice's appeal is that it is compact, there are no high rise buildings, and you are never far from areas of interest. Getting in from the airport is a short and straightforward bus ride and the directions to the apartment were easy to follow. The Chagall and Matisse Museums are a must for those interested in Art. Public transport is excellent and for very little money we took the bus to Menton and the train to Grasse. I frequently visit Europe and this was one of the most enjoyable holidays I have had for a while. Staying in this apartment was perfect, in fact it was like being in a Matisse or Dufy painting. I have already recommended it to friends and would certainly stay in it again.

Owners Response: Thanks for such a lovely review and taking the time to go into such detail. We are delighted you'd such a nice time in our holiday home. It is a pleasure for us to know other people can enjoy our apartment when we don't get a chance to come to Nice ourselves.
