Our stay at the Tron Square apartment was perfect! <br/>The location was great, near all touristic sites. Easy to get from the airport. <br/>Owner was wonderful meeting us at the apartment and explaining everything to us. <br/>And the apartment itself was the best one we stayed during our whole trip. <br/>Cozy, clean, warm, perfect! <br/>Even with a briefcase with maps, tourism guides, and guides for every equipment inside the apartment wich helped me a lot. <br/>I loved the electrical fireplace. <br/>If I ever go back to Edinburgh or my friends will definitely stay there again.

We had the pleasure of staying in this very comfortable apartment for three nights. It was exactly as described, tastefully furnished, and well-equipped with all the basic items you might need (including umbrellas)! It was very clean, and quiet at night despite its central location. The location is within easy walking distance of all attractions in central Edinburgh, including the central train station and 100 bus with easy access to the airport. The owners were very easy to work with and responded promptly to all emails, and even made alternative arrangements for check-in when we arrived later than expected. Very highly recommended!

Great apartment

We stayed with two persons in this very well appointed apartment for one week. We were welcomed very friendly although we were a little late. <br/>The location is perfect, the flat is very clean and comfortable with new furniture. Although the bed room is small, the bed was comfortable with nice clean linen. The bath room was nice with a great shower as well as the kitchen where we didn't miss anything. <br/>It was a great stay. We have already recommended this to our friends. <br/>Thanks for hosting us.

We had a wonderful stay at Mark's and Caroline's apartment for five nights during Hogmanay. The apartment is just steps away from the Royal Mile - extremely central for all attractions and restaurants - but nevertheless very quiet, even during Hogmanay. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. <br/> <br/>We will definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and will book it again if and when we return to Edinburgh in the future!

Airy apartment in great location in Oldtown

The apartment was really nice: clean and well-maintained. The owner told us what to tell our taxi driver (to drop us on High Street at the Fringe Office) and he met us there and walked us (and helped with our luggage) down the Close to the little one bedroom apartment. I slept on the sofa, and it was quite comfortable. The Close is steep, and if you have a lot of luggage, it can be quite a feet to get your luggage up it again to find a taxi when you leave. There isn't really parking available (no problem for us; we had no car.) The apartment opened out onto a spacious little square that felt quite private. We loved that we were so close to High Street. I would stay here again (and not pack so much in my luggage next time!)

The apartment was very well situated .being absolutely right in the centre of Edingburgh and within easy walking distance of all the major attractions and many excellent restaurants (Mitre,Whiski for example),,tastefully and well furnished , clean and very quiet.Access is ideal as it is on the ground floor and if approached from Old Assembly Close in the High Street there are no steps to climb.Being close to Waverley Station it was handy for travelling we fitted in Stirling,Glasgow and Dalmeny for S.Queensferry ,Forth Bridges and a trip to the islands in the Firth.The hosts Mark and Caroline were friendly kind and helpful and did their utmost to make the stay a memorable one.(we are a 68 year old British male with severe spinal problems and a 57 year old fit Portuguese lady both living in Portugal)

The apartment is quite well located, close to the main attractions and monuments of the city. It is in the heart of the Royal Mile. It is clean and well-maintaned and I recommend this property to stay on holiday. The owners are very nice people. <br/> There are many shops, pubs and restaurants close to the apartment, where you can taste the fantastic huggies and Scottish food. I recommend the pub The White Hart Inn in Grassmarket St, which is 200 or 300 metres from the apartment.

Lovley appartment in the hart of Edinburgh!

A classmate and me lived in this appartemtn for about three months. It was a wonderful appartment in the hart of Edinburgh city. The location of the appartment couldn't be any better. You just walk outside the door and up the road and staight out to the livley streets. Caroline and Marc was very helpful and nica, if we had any questions we could call and they would happily help us. It's a wonderful and clean appartment with big space and everything you need og supplies. I would gladly recommend to rent this place for holiday's or longer stays.

We just returned from a great week in Edinburgh. The apartment is in a perfect location right off the Royal Mile, with easy access to restaurants, historical / tourist sites, shopping, and public transportation. The apartment was clean, sufficiently comfortable, and everything appeared as advertised. The owners were extremely accomodating and helpful, both at check-in and at check-out. <br/> <br/>We certainly would stay there again if/when we visit Edinburgh again.

we were 5 people, and there was not problems in terms of space. It is clean, and well wellcomed by the host. <br/>The best of the apartment is its situation, just 3 minutes away from Golden mile but in the meantime in a very silenced square. <br/>Kichen is well equipped, price is good for groups. <br/>Only small things to be improved, bed at the dinning room is not fully confortable and there is only one bathroom. <br/>Summary: I strongly remcommend this accomodation to visit Edimburg, its location is probably the best!!..

A wonderful trip to Edinburgh

This was a wonderful place to stay. The apartment is just off the Royal Mile, and there was great accessibility to all of the tourist sites as well as many great restaurants and pubs. The apartment was clean and well maintained and the owners were very friendly and very helpful. We had everything we needed and we had plenty of space. Edinburgh itself was fantastic. We especially enjoyed taking the bus tour of the city. The 48hour ticket let us see everything and take advantage of all the buses. A great place to stay and a great city to visit!

We had a really great time at Edinburgh. The apartment was great. It is located in the centre of Edinburgh. Everthing is on walk distance. Our daughers of 6 and 8 loved Edinburgh. We went to the Zoo, dinamic Earthe, Camera Obscura, the Castle, The National Museum of Schotland, Museum of Childhood. To much nice things to do and everthing to walk from the apartment. <br/>The apartment is the cleanest apartment i have ever seen. Will you go to Edinburgh than you must hire this apartment!

It wasn't our first visit to Edinburgh during the festivals som w already knew that the location of this apartment was perfect for such a visit. And yet the sence of peace and quiet (you sometimes need between all the shows etc) was a surprise. Just 45 seconds of the Royal Mile and a minute off the Cowgate!! The apartment itself was perfect too.Nice, simple and modern decor. Very clean and comfortable. Mark & Caroline are extremely friendly and helpful. The perfect hosts. <br/>We will definately stay in Tron Square again! <br/>Sweden

We stayed here for a few days to attend our daughter's graduation. It was in a perfect location, very central but also amazingly quiet. It had comfortable beds and was well equipped. The apartment was in an excellent location for seeing Edinburgh. It was clean and well maintained and the owners were friendly and easy to contact. <br/>Three days was not long enough, we plan to return and have recomended the apartment to several friends. <br/>Only downside was no parking nearby, but Mark's wife kindly showed us a road fifteen minutes walk away where we parked the car for free.

The description of the apartment was absolutely precise. We recognized the rooms at once from the pictures in the internet. The property was very clean and well-maintained. Mr McCraw was very friendly and helped us with our many questions regarding the possibilities for sight-seeing and shopping and more. The apartment is in the middle of the most interesting sight seeing points, everything is available within walking distance. There is enough space in the apartment for four to six people, towels, bed linen, enough dishes, cleaning agents etc. everything is at hand. <br/>I would recommend this property to everyone.

We (family of 5), stayed in this apartment while attending a wedding in Edinburgh. It was clean, well-maintained, comfortable and had all the facilities we needed as a busy family. The location of the apartment is also ideal for a stay in Edinburgh, (NB. there are some stairs to walk up to either access the property or get to the Royal Mile). The owner was friendly and informative, helping us with our parking. Overall, we thought it was very good value for money, and we would stay here again.

We spent a wonderful week exploring Edinburgh thanks in part to the great accomodations at this apartment. It was neatly furnished throughout with more than adequate kitchen appliances. (Americans - beware of the water cooker, it looks like an American tea kettle for the stove - we learned the hard way..oops) The beds were comfortable, the apartment was very clean and the host, Mark, was kind and helpful. I feel the apartment was priced fairly for the location and amenities. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. We will recommend this apartment to friends looking to visit Edinburgh. There are several great restaurants within walking distance, the Waverly Train Station and pick-up for bus lines is a mere 10 minute walk from the front door of the apartment. We enjoyed The Filling Station, Bella Italia, The Elephant Cafe and Greggs for sandwiches/pastries. A Tesco and Lidl are nearby for those wanting to buy a few groceries while staying to help with food costs. Big plus for us - Starbucks just down the street.

The apartment was the ideal base for our week in Edinburgh: everything we wanted to see in both the Old Town and the New was within walking distance; there were lots of cafés, restaurants and pubs nearby to choose from - and if we didn't feel like going out in the evening the apartment itself was a comfortable place to stay (clean, nicely furnished). What more could one want?

In The Heart of Edinburgh

I came to Edinburgh with my Mother, who is 73 and somewhat disabled. We had a wonderful stay at the McCraw's apartment. My Mother was able to go out for short jaunts and with the apartment being close to everything - she enjoyed her stay and when not out exploring, enjoyed the comfort the apartment afforded her. She took naps, read and relaxed. <br/> <br/>I would go out exploring all over, then pop back in and check on Mom from time to time. We would get together at nearby restaurants for a meal "out" each day and enjoyed the convenience of being able to cook at the apartment when we wanted. <br/> <br/>This apartment is close to all the major attractions. The McCraws were very friendly and coming from so far away, and working for a police department, I'm a bit of a skeptic. I worried that I'd get there and nobody would be there to meet us and we'd have to come up with an alternate place to stay. I was pleasantly surprised when Mark came out on a snowy night to meet us where he had instructed us to have the taxi let us off. He helped my mother with her bag down the "close" to the apartment and made sure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. He provided us with his contact information should we need him for anything during our stay. <br/> <br/>To anyone who is questioning whether or not to book this place - rest assured, you'll be happy. My only complaint would have been the noise of some of the people who passed through the courtyard (it seemed to reverberate there) The noise was infrequent though and hey, you're on vacation - you don't have to get up early if you don't want! <br/> <br/>Easy walking to the palace, the castle, the train station, the bus line, restaurants, shopping...you couldn't ask for more. I hope to return to Edinburgh someday...if I do, I'll sure try to book this apartment again. <br/> <br/>Thank you Mark and Caroline for making my stay with my Mother a memorable one! <br/> <br/>Eileen

Great apartment, well maintained, clean and cosy, has all necessary amenities: 2 bedrooms, sitting/dining, fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, hair dryer, TV, DVD player, CD player, clothes hanger for drying, central heating. <br/> <br/>It is situated in a secluded square which makes the area quite so no disturbed sleep. It is really 30 seconds away from the royal mile. The Royal Mile is the heart of Edinburgh in the Old City. All major attractions are withing walking distance so no extra transport expenses. We only used a bus to go to the Zoo, which we highly recommend. <br/> <br/>Restaurants are not very expensive and if you walk down the Royal Mile to Princess Street there is a Chinese buffet for around 10 sterling! But make sure you taste the Haggis when you visit Edinburgh!!!! Plenty of restaurants to choose from that serve this traditional dish! Also visit one of the whiskey shops and indulge in a Malt Whiskey or a Malt whiskey liquor (we fancied Glenfiddich and Glayva). For those on a tight budget you can use LIDL supermarket to get some ready made meals which you can heat up in the equipped kitchen of the apartment or maybe cook a complete meal if one wants. <br/> <br/>Arriving from the airport to the apartment is not such an ordeal either. Get an airport bus and stop at Waverly bridge (which is the last stop). The only thing is that there is a 5 - 10 minutes walk uphill, so it really depends on the baggage. One can always take a taxi up to the Royal Mile from the bus stop. The owner actually came to meet us near StarBucks and accompanied us to the apartment. We had a delay of nearly 2 hours in arriving and the owners did not mention a thing. In fact they said that they where checking the arrival time of the airplane to meet with us immediately. <br/> <br/>I would highly recommend this property and would certainly return in the future!!!

Due to the great location, we could walk to all the main tourist attractions and also to the University's graduation hall (the reason for our trip). Edinburgh is a beautiful city, and this is a great "home base" from which to see it all. We also appreciated how well-stocked the apartment was. We had guests over for dinner one evening, and it was wonderful to have everything we needed to entertain in the apartment. We also appreciated Mark going out of his way to pick up a blowdryer for us - thanks! I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for either a short or long-term stay in central Edinburgh.

An excellent apartment situated very centrally in the old town. Just as described by the very friendly owners and supplied with verything you would need for a stay in Edinburgh. Very quiet location. We stayed at this flat with out 1 year old and the location was fantastic as its so close to the Royal Mile where there are lots of things to see as well as shops, restaurants etc. The apartment has everything you need and much better than a hotel if you have young kids as there is more space and they can have a seperate bedroom.

this is a nice, loveable and friendly furnitured appartement in the city centre. it is just at the royal mile. any sightseeing monument etc. is in walking distance. self catering is no problem, you can find lidl, tesco , sainsbury also in walking distance. nevertheless it takes 2 minutes to get to the next bus station. we (2 adults and 2 children(7,8) have had a wonderful time in edinburgh

Yes, a great discovery. Quiet and, however, in the heart of the city. Incredible. Near all activities in Edinburgh:the Castle, Waverley station, Princes Gardens, Scott Monument and, of course,the "great" Royal Mile. A Lot of restaurants,big stores, shopping. All so close, but so quiet. <br/>The apartment is modern and clean. It´s just for 4 people. It has a spacious dinning-room, with a electrical fireplace, TV, a great table, two sofas. The kitchen has a fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a ceramic hob. The crockery was new. The two rooms are spacious. The corridor and dinning-room is laminate flooring. It has a fitted carpet in two bedroom. It was a great impression when we was into. <br/>Mark and Caroline was very kind. They was so friendly! <br/> I´d recommend it not only a friend. To me too. My daughter does not want to leave the aparment. She was very pleased. <br/>There isn´t many supermarkets around the apartment, but at South Bridge there´s a LIDL supermarket. <br/>We liked very much the Castle, Princes Gardens, The Royal Botanic Garden, go up ,and down, The Scott and The Nelson Monuments. At Cockburn St. is La Rusticana, an italian restaurant. Very authentic! <br/>All the shopping at the Royal Mile. And Giles Cathedral too. <br/>Don´t think more. Go to Tron Square Apartment!

perfect location good value

My 19 yr old daughter and I rented the flat for a week and loved the location. Just steps from the Royal Mile and many attractions. We walked everywhere, also very close to the train and bus stations for out of town excursions. Well equipped, clean.

Perfekt gelegene Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr zentral, keine 100 Meter von der Fußgängerzone entfernt, in der beispielsweise die Kathedrale von Edinburgh liegt. Gleichzeitig ist sie aber extrem ruhig gelegen, man hört keinen Straßenlärm. Diese Lage erschwert ein wenig das Finden der Wohnung, man muss sehr genau nach der Beschilderung suchen. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig, alle Angaben dazu im Inserat sind - wie auch die zur Lage - korrekt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, der Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr angenehm. <br/>Insgesamt eine Wohnung, die wir ohne Einschränkungen empfehlen können.

We stayed with two persons in this very well appointed apartment for one week. We were welcomed very friendly although we were a little late. <br/>The location is perfect, the flat is very clean and comfortable with new furniture. Although the bed room is small, the bed was comfortable with nice clean linen. The bath room was nice with a great shower as well as the kitchen where we didn't miss anything. <br/>It was a great stay. We have already recommended this to our friends. <br/>Thanks for hosting us.

We are a family of five (marriage and three daughters). The apartment is ideally located. It is assured that despite being in a lively area, has no noise and has everything you need to spend a very pleasant. With regard to the owners, we want to thank them because we forgot the camera and phoned us and asked us to address and have sent us to Spain. A detail on the other hand, thanks. We recommend it if you want to spend days in Edinburgh and apart from enjoying the city, relax and be in this apartment. One hundred percent guaranteed.

alle gemacheten Angaben des Online-Inserats stimmten !!! <br/>Wir können die Wohnung jederzeit weiterempfehlen . <br/>Wenn man mal Haggis probieren möchte (was wir eigentlich nie machen wollten ) dann bitte zum Grassmarket "White Hart Inn "schmeckt köstlich !! <br/>Now some words for our landlord Mark if he read this comment and can't <br/>understand : "we really had a great time at yours !! Spitzenlage, zentraler geht es nicht. Direkt an der Royal-Mile und trotzdem <br/>ruhig. Sauber und gut ausgestattet (Küche top!) Nette Vermieter <br/>Absolut empfehlenswert !
