Places to Holiday in Turkey

It is possible to find cheap holiday homes in Turkey. Turkey hotels are generally more expensive and hardly as exciting as living in a Turkey apartment or holiday villa in Turkey.

Aegean Sea Coast - The Aegean Sea Coast is a stretch of magnificent white sandy beaches - The North Aegean Sea Coast is one the most important yachting centers in Turkey and has broad boulevards and modern shopping centres and houses with traditional red-tiled roofs and old mosques and churches. The cities have atmospheres resembling Mediterranean Europe. The South Aegean Sea Coast hosts open-air concerts and plays, the most famous of which are held in the old Greek theater at Ephesus, in the summer. Treasures of South Aegean include the 3,000-year-old ruins of Troy.

Marmara Sea - The region of Marmara is lively and vibrant. Its cities hold fruit orchards and vegetable gardens, and are famous for its carpets. Rich in history, and renowned during Ottoman times for its glazed tiles, the shores of the Marmara Sea host beautiful beaches and holiday resorts. Among them are Cinarcik, Armutlu, Gemlik, Mudanya, Erdek, the Marmara and Avsa Islands, Denizkent, Sark?y, Silivri and lastly Yalova, a site famous for its thermal springs.

Mediterranean Coast - The modern Turkish Mediterranean still contains much of its ancient counterpart. Unspoiled fishing villages share the shoreline with busy resort towns such as Marmaris and Antalya. This coast offers something for everyone: upscale resorts and tiny hamlets where virgin forest is separated from the sea by strips of unspoiled beach.
