If you can drag yourself away from the stunning beaches of Provo, there is a huge amount to do on land too. The Long Bay Hole, a huge limestone chimney, is a natural marvel that is well worth investigating, and the ruins of the Richmond Hill Plantation are also of great interest. Provo is also home to many superb restaurants, lively bars, a casino and even an 18 hole golf course.

Those looking for even more peace and seclusion can head for Middle Caicos, the largest and most sparsely populated of the Turks & Caicos Islands.
