More about North Majorca

Make a holiday rental home, or villa in Mallorca your home away from home

Majorca (Mallorca), Ibiza and Menorca make up the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. They are renowned for cheap flights and beautiful beaches as well as the vibrant bars and clubs along the promenades. The island boasts 550km of sandy beaches, and the Tranmuntana Mountains are a playground for walkers and hikers. Winter 2006/2007 saw a huge amount of investment into the whole area, especially the resorts along the coast of Mallorca (Majorca), and many of the holiday villas in Mallorca (Majorca) also benefited. There is a resort and accommodation in Mallorca to suit every taste and budget.

Things to do on holiday in North Mallorca

If you are inspired by the fourteenth century gothic church as your flight approaches Palma at the start of your holiday in Mallorca, there is plenty of traditional architecture to be seen, like the Castell de Belluer, the perfectly maintained Royal fortress overlooking the harbour.

Sporting holidays are also very popular. Majorca has the highest density of golf courses in Europe, and has ample facilities for tennis, bowls, horse riding, sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing, kite surfing and scuba diving, all easily accessible from our holiday villas. In the evenings, the resorts on the coast have bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants to suit every preference and budget, and the Palma Casino is open all year round.

There are also good facilities for children, with safe swimming and bathing in the sea, and there are plenty of kids clubs, water parks and activities.

Places to holiday in North Mallorca

Pollensa is a sedate resort along a sheltered coastline, with access to the bay lined with many beaches, safe swimming and the much celebrated Pine Walk Promenade, where many of the holiday villas available for rent are situated. Pollensa offers all the usual water sports, hiking and glass bottomed boats, but many people come here as Pollensa has a leading role in the island's culture. The Festival of Classical Music is in July and August, and is extremely popular.

Alcudia is a perfectly restored walled city on the site of a Roman settlement, with 9km of sandy beaches. It is well worth taking a holiday rental here, or defiantly a visit whilst on holiday in Mallorca. Within the Bay of Alcudia is the village of Santa Margalida. Santa Margalida is a sleepy village surrounded by rolling hills. There are well preserved pre-historic remains from the Talaylic age, and the town comes alive for the first weekend in September, with the Festival of the Beata.
