The villa is one of a small cluster of villas overlooking the charming village of Benitachell with its pretty church floodlit at night, local vineyards, both valleys of Javea and Moraira and magnificent views of the Costa Blanca countryside. The popular yet very different towns of Javea and Moraira are about 10 minutes drive away. Moraira with its picturesque marina and clear shallow water still remains one of the most unspoilt, smaller intimate resorts on the Costa Blanca with many fine restaurants and bars. Javea has a reputation as a family friendly more bustling resort with a long sandy beach, shops, bars and plenty of reasonably priced restaurants to suit all tastes. The narrow streets of the old town are lined with traditional Spanish apartments, shops and many restaurants.

Moraira and Javea

Moraira is part of the municipality of Teulada, situated about four miles inland. In earlier times the centres of population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders - Romans, Moors, Berbers etc. Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and both the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d'Or overlooking Moraira's El Portet beach, and the Castle are reminders of the past. In more recent times this quiet and peaceful fishing port has become a busy yet pleasant resort. Javea itself is a small, historic town, free of high rise buildings offering a relaxing holiday and contact with a friendly and forthcoming local population. Javea old town is steeped in history, with Tosca stone porticoes, gothic bay windows, wrought iron window bars and balcony railings. The Arenal area is the commercial and tourist part of Javea.

Leisure Activities

Whether you want a quiet holiday or a fun-packed one there is something for everyone in and around Benitachell - the Disney Style Terra Mitica theme park at Benidorm (just 45 minutes away by car), Aqualandia Water Park, and the Mundomar Exotic Animal and Marine Park. There are Safari Parks at Aitana and Vergel, Waterfalls at Bolulla, Caves at Benidoleig and Canalobre. For superb international shows with dinner the renowned Benidorm Palace and the Casino Mediterráneo at Villajoyosa are not to be missed. Moraira and Javea have a wealth of restaurants to satisfy tastes of all nationalities.

Golfing Activities

Within 10 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant. The Olazabal designed La Sella Golf Course is 15 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course, although flat has many trees and water obstacles and presents a very good challenge. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Both Javea and La Sella clubs have tennis and squash courts. Within a half hour drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros. and within 40 minutes are the two championship courses of Real de Faula at Benidorm.
