Well, the simple answer is to shop around, as no individual company or site can always have the cheapest flights around! However, there are some generic rules that will determine the price of your flight. If you book a flight well in advance, prices are generally cheaper, and if you travel mid-week or out of peak travel hours, prices are reduced even further. Often, travelling from smaller airports means smaller bills for low cost flights. For example, you can often find fantastic deals on cheap flights leaving from local airports such as Bristol, East Midlands, Luton or Cardiff. Of course, by taking the cheapest flights available, you do make a couple of small sacrifices; flexibility is reduced, and often, so is the quality of service you receive during the flight.
