Britons 'flock to Cape Verde'Cape Verde: 07 January 2008Cape Verde is proving to be a highly popular holiday destination among Britons, new figures have revealed. Official data showed that 14.1 per cent of the foreigners who visited Cape Verde during the first half of 2007 hailed from the UK, reports A Semana. The National Statistics Institute also found that the west African archipelago was attracting people from a number of other European countries. Figures from the organisation showed that almost one in five visitors from overseas came from Portugal. In addition, Cape Verde was found to be highly popular with tourists from Germany and Italy. The findings will prove to be positive reading for owners of property in the country, as they highlight its growing appeal to different consumer bases. Advice website BuyAssociation recently recommended that overseas property buyers consider investing in Cape Verde this year.
