Twitchers take note: Charlotte's Bird-A-Thon is on the horizon

The 6th Annual Charlotte Harbour 100 Bird-A-Thon is due to take place at the end of March and promises to be an event that eager twitchers could well enjoy. Stay in a rented holiday home in Florida and compete against other twitchers - or 'birders' as they are known in the US - in attempting to spot 100 different wild species.

Taking place between March 31st and April 1st, the event is run in support of the Peace River Audobon Society Youth Environment Education Fund - so participants can also be rest assured that their activities are in support of a good cause.
