Good-value holiday destinations highlighted

Leisure travellers who want a good holiday experience without breaking the bank have been pointed in the direction of Turkey.

UK-based newspaper the Telegraph recommended the country as somewhere that could meet people's expectations of a holiday without costing more than they could afford.

The publication stated that people could take advantage of relatively cheap food and accommodation, while the overall cost of living was also said to be fairly low.

Morocco was also highlighted as a destination that also met these requirements, while also offering a "fascinating" culture and affordable places to stay in modern resorts and cities.

The Telegraph commented: "More than ever, the holiday destination you choose will make a big difference to your wallet."

In addition, people were advised that they could reach the north African country by plane in less than four hours.

According to a study by Alliance & Leicester, more than £23 million was spent by British leisure travellers all over the world last year.
