Malaga attracts Easter tourists

Many holidaymakers from the UK are set to visit Malaga this Easter, it has been revealed.

According to the low-cost airline easyJet, the Spanish resort has become a hotspot for British tourists during the upcoming holiday season.

The carrier described Malaga as a "favourite" location among those who want to enjoy hot and sunny conditions during their time off work.

This could prove to be particularly enticing in the wake of the summer floods, cold winter weather and the severe storms which are currently lashing the UK.

Marianne West, spokesperson for easyJet, commented: "With so many new routes recently launched from its London airports, there’s a perfect holiday destination just waiting for you to explore."

The airline added that about 500,000 people are set to fly abroad with the airline during the Easter season.

This follows the news that rival carrier Ryanair is to begin providing passage to Malaga from Edinburgh Airport.
