Nature-based event 'attracts visitors to Florida'Florida: 18 March 2008Visitors to a wildlife and nature festival in Charlotte on April 12th may well decide to stay in a rented holiday home in Florida. The Charlotte Harbor Kayak & Wildlife Festival attracts around 3,000 visitors each year according to the organisers, who are hoping that this year's event will be just as successful. Florida's tourism sector is boosted every year by Charlotte's nature event and other activities around the state. Many of these holidaymakers may decide to stay in their rented holiday home for longer than planned for in order to see all the sights and sample all the delights. The wildlife festival, which is free to the public, will take place on Port Charlotte Beach Par. Kayakers and paddlers can involve themselves in the various water-based activities. There is also a fishing tournament, nature seminars, food, a market and music and guided tours.
