New flights to Cyprus to be launchedCyprus: 4 January 2008Holidaymakers who are considering travelling to Cyprus will be likely to welcome the announcement of extra flights to the country. British Airways has confirmed that it will begin operating services to Paphos from July 1st, flying out from Gatwick Airport every day. The carrier said this demonstrated its commitment to the Cyprus market, as it already operates daily flights between Heathrow and Larnaca. Marianna Trokoudes, spokesperson for British Airways, commented: "In combination with our existing flights from Larnaca, our Paphos services offer tremendous flexibility and convenience for Cypriots travelling to the UK." She added that Paphos was already a very popular destination with British leisure travellers, as well as an area of growing economic importance.
