Rental investors 'in for a lucrative summer'Property investment abroad: 22 May 2008Foreign property investors should be able to withstand the effects of the credit crunch, experts have stated. According to NuBricks.com, the mass media is sending out negative messages by spreading "doom and gloom" about the worldwide economy. However, the website said that ongoing financial problems are not putting people off travelling abroad, as consumers are unwilling to sacrifice their holidays. This means that owners of rental accommodation in popular tourist hotpots can expect another lucrative summer. NuBricks.com added that the credit crunch has negatively affected many property markets in Europe, although it believes this has presented further opportunities to prospective buyers. The website commented: "There is the opportunity for some overseas property investors to pick up long-term property investments on the cheap." This comes after American Express revealed that about one in three British consumers are making sure they can afford a foreign holiday by cutting back on their spending elsewhere.
