Spain offers benefits to property buyers

People who buy a second home in Spain could be able to enjoy a number of positive benefits, experts have stated.

Prospective buyers were told by ShelterOffshore.com that the country offers attractions including good weather and a high standard of living.

The website went on to comment on the quality and affordability of its cuisine, as well as the hospitality of local people.

However, it added that the country offers more than lifestyle benefits, as property owners could potentially generate extra wealth.

According to the online portal, Spain is currently the most popular holiday destination in the world among British people.

The resulting need for tourist accommodation has directly contributed to growth in the country's buy-to-let sector.

ShelterOffshore.com remarked: "If you're thinking about buying real estate in Spain, you do have a chance to tap in to this level of tourism-based demand and rent your property out."

According to official government figures, Spain attracted 59.2 million foreign leisure travellers last year.
