Tourism boosts Cape Verde's investment prospects

Overseas property buyers have been encouraged to take advantage of the growing tourist trade in Cape Verde.

According to NuBricks.com, authorities in the west African archipelago are actively aiming to encourage more holidaymakers to visit.

The country was praised for offering a number of attractions to leisure travellers, including good weather and lots of unspoiled landscapes.

However, the website added that it offers more than lifestyle benefits, as tourism is enhancing its investment potential.

This is because it is generating extra wealth for Cape Verde's economy and contributing to growth in its housing market.

NuBricks.com said: "The increasing wealth of the Cape Verde nation has laid some great foundations for a growing real estate market."

The website added that many "early-bird investors" have already profited from their investments in the country.

This comes after Jet-to-Let magazine stated that if extra flights to Cape Verde are introduced in line with demand, the islands could possibly attract 500,000 visitors a year within the next decade.
