Younger property buyers head to AlpsProperty investment abroad: 11 April 2008Properties in the Alps are becoming very popular with younger property buyers, an expert has revealed. Paul Collins, property editor at the BuyAssociation website, said the area is proving to be an appealing location because it is "slightly different" to traditional investment hotspots. The region's easy accessibility was highlighted as another positive attribute, as low-cost airlines fly to the Alps for 12 months of the year. However, Mr Collins said many people who are interested in buying a property abroad do not realise just how good the weather in the mountain range can be. He commented: "That's something that is often overlooked. "If people are looking for a break in the sun, but something that's just slightly different, you get the fantastic clean air in the mountains." This comes after Mark Bodega of currency specialist HiFX suggested that those who are thinking of buying an Alpine property search the market in the summer.
