Q: Where is the review submitted by my Guest?

When a review is submitted for a property on HomeAway Holiday-Rentals, it enters our moderation process to ensure it meets with our Reviews Guidelines. This process takes up to seven days and the review will not appear on your advert whilst it is in the moderation process. When a review has not appeared after more than 7 working days, there are usually two reasons:

1) Your guest has not confirmed their review. In this circumstance, we can re-send the confirmation email to your guest at their request.
2) The review did not meet our Guidelines and was permanently rejected. The author will be notified.


The Reviews feature on HomeAway Holiday-Rentals works as follows:

  • Your guest clicks on the link to write a review from your advert or Review Request email
  • When your guest submits a review, an email is sent to request confirmation
  • Once the review is confirmed by your guest, the review is sent to our moderation team to ensure the review complies with our Reviews Guidelines
  • If the review is approved, an email notification is sent to the owner with a link to post an Owner’s response if you choose
  • From the time you receive the notification, you review will be posted on your advert within 7 days

 

To get reviews on your advert, ask your guests to click on the ‘write review’ link on the top of your advert. Alternatively, you can send a personal request by email with a direct link to your reviews page by using your Review Request Form .
