Spanish desserts and cocktail recipes
From the Romans to the Arabs, many cultures have brought their own delicacies to Spain. Each region has thus developed typical desserts made with either fruits or other regional products. Some of the country's best-known desserts are smooth, creamy, rich custards, made from Spain's high quality milk and eggs, such as 'flan' or 'crema catalana'.Other typical Spanish sweets, which can be found throughout the country, are 'churros', fried-dough pastry-based snacks normally eaten for breakfast dipped in hot chocolate or 'café con leche'.
As Spain's warm climate is essential in the creation of good wines, it's no wonder that wine-based cocktails are very popular too. Sangria is the most famous Spanish drink made with red wine, fruit juice, sparkling soft drinks, sugar and fruit chunks.
