Supporting recent figures released by ABTA, the Travel Association, which showed that 12% of Brits intend to go abroad to avoid the Games, a recent holidaymaker survey conducted by HomeAway.co.uk, the UK’s number one holiday rentals website, indicates that only 7% of those interviewed are planning to attend the Olympics and 25% of these still haven’t purchased their tickets for the event.

Dubai’s property market saw a steady improvement towards the end of last year, according to HomeAway.co.uk, the UK’s number one holiday rentals website. Figures released today by the company position it as the top performing market in 2011 in terms of inventory growth on its website, with a 68% year-on-year increase in holiday rental listings. It seems property investors are returning to the Emirate following widespread market and infrastructure improvements during the last year.

According to a new survey by leading holiday rentals company, HomeAway.co.uk, 65% of second homeowners are considering or would like to sell their property. In a survey of owners in February 2012*, almost 60% also confirmed that their property had taken a nose-dive in value since they purchased it and 37% were feeling the squeeze, saying it was a bigger financial burden of late.
