The town is well known as the “city of truffles and foie gras” and the patés and cured meats are also worth sampling. Explore the Roman remains, domed cathedral and the medieval churches in this lovely town and enjoy eating out at one of the highly-acclaimed local restaurants.

Bergerac is one of the major towns in the Dordogne, a pleasant 16km drive south of Issac. Its charming old architecture and river location make it a delightful place to visit. Explore the local St Jacques Church on the main square and admire the many statues of the Cyrano de Bergerac scattered around the town.
