Ko Phangan Full Moon Party - Thousands of visitors come to Ko Phangan each month to celebrate the Full Moon Party here. It all began when a group of party-goers decided that the most beautiful moon could be seen from the appropriately crescent-shaped beach of Haad Rin or Haddrin. It has grown to attracting up to 30,000 people and once the full moon appears all types of music accompanies the dancing. Jugglers, fire-eaters and even fireworks entertain guests who buy food and drinks from local vendors.
Visit the Beaches - The number one reason for visiting Ko Phangan is for the wonderful white sand tropical beaches in the Gulf of Thailand. The warm waters offer the perfect environment for watersports including scuba diving, sailing, swimming, kayaking and fishing.
There are plenty of interesting things to see on Ko Phangan including the waterfall at Than Sadat or visit the spa at the local luxury hotels for a massage and beauty treatments. There are also plenty of cheap bars and restaurants near your self catering villa serving delicious local food.
