Lancashire walks up the peaks of the Clougha are well marked, and for a less strenuous yet equally spectacular Lancashire walk, there are more than 130 miles of coastal paths to explore. For those who would prefer to tour with a golf club in hand, there are some excellent options too. There are some excellent golf courses to play in Lancashire, including the world famous courses of Royal Lytham and St Annes.

The canal routes of Lancashire are huge attractions, and whilst they tell a story of the history of the area, they also provide a huge range of things to do in Lancashire. The canals here provide some of the finest canal fishing in England, as well as some of the most peaceful walking routes. Littered along the canals are among the most enticing Lancashire public houses too.

Blackpool Tower is one of the most recognised tourist attractions in Lancashire, marking the centre of the ‘Pleasure Beach’, a huge amusement park and funfair which has taken over much of the town. The nightlife is infamous, with many bars, arcades, theatres and performances opening every night. On the quieter side, Morecambe Bay is a beach resort and natural bird sanctuary of worldwide acclaim. Over 100 species of bird can be seen in the area, coming from countries around the world.
