The walled town of Lazise sits on the east shore of Lake Garda, 25km from Verona. The town is a prime example of a quaint Italian fishing village that has become a popular tourist destination, as many visitors attempt to find the most traditional Lake Garda town. Although this has meant that more accommodation, bars and restaurants have appeared in Lazise over the last few years, the well-preserved old town means that it is far from spoilt, and Lazise remains one of the most highly recommended options for those visiting the Garda region.
