The two small chapels of Sainte Barbe and Saint Fiacre within the village are the tourist hotspots, as both are exquisitely and elaborately built.

Fishermen will already be familiar with Le Faouet, as it stands upon the banks of the River Elle, one of the best angling rivers in Brittany. Trout and salmon are regularly caught along the Le Faouet beat of the river, with fishing permits readily available within the town.

The whole area, and especially the valley of the River Elle are crossed with paths for walking, cycling and horse riding. Conditions in Le Faouet are similar to those of the south coast of England, but a few degrees warmer as a result of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. During the summer, temperatures can reach up to around 30?C in the middle of the day, with delightfully long, warm evenings most nights. During the winter months, the weather is largely unpredictable, but remains similar to British conditions.
