The largest town in the Perigord Pourpre area of the Dordogne is Bergerac, which is less than 20km from Le Fleix. The old town and the harbour make for an interesting insight into the area’s heritage, as well as being a pleasant place to take a stroll. Bergerac also plays an important role in viticulture, with a dedicated museum, and regular markets where local produce can be tasted and purchased.
