The region has many architecturally and historically interesting villages and ancient cities with ruins of temples. A trip to Tripolis, which is the capital city of the region of Arcadia, will give visitors a view of many neoclassical houses and an archaeological museum.The ancient city of Corinth is about a two hour drive away and has some fantastic ruins of temples and the famous Corinth Canal. Boat trips can be taken o neighbouring islands such as Poros. Athens is about three hours drive away and has many wonderful tourist attractions including the world famous Parthenon on the Acropolis.

June and September can also be hot and sunny with temperatures in the high 20s. During the daytime temperatures rarely drop much below 10 degrees centigrade throughout the year. December is generally the wettest month with around 4.7 inches of rainfall.
